Good day. GPS has changed over the years and the venerable nearby explorer that we all enjoyed is no longer available. So, What's the best and what are you using to get around?
I've tried lazarillo and blind square and find them helpful. I did not like Good maps or good maps explore and can't even find it on the app store any more.
Is there anything with onboard maps any more and what do you feel provides the most accurate results?
Thanks from a human and his sleeping yellow lab.

Others you can try include

I installed Nearby Explorer online
I installed Nearby Explorer Online, just before it got pulled from the app store. I was going to buy the full version, but I was too late unfortunetly. Nearby Explorer Online still works, in spite of it not being updated any more. the only concern with it, is you had to download the Maps required before the app was pulled. I have the Map for Nova Scotia, Canada, and I still get updates for that mac.
Apple Maps.
I use the Apple Maps and it is very good. besides the maps, I love the sound-scape.
onboard maps
hi,
the orignal poster wants apps with onboard maps. Blindsquare uses data, as the streets are from openstreet map, and places are from forsquare, both require data in blindsquare’s implamentation. Google Maps has the option of downloading maps for offline use. lasarilo uses data for maps as well. Navagon has onboard maps as well, and there are apps for whatever continent you are on. it works well. there are some things you can purchase, and one of those are maps on a yearly bases for $25.00. Navagon costs $80 but it’s worth it.
Navagon
It is not that accessible. Specially with downloading the maps. It is not easy to use also.
