Accessibility Comments

This app is a mixture of accessible and inaccessible, depending on what part of the app you are on. The recordings, history and favourites are accessible accept from a few strangely labeled buttons. You'll just have to press these and see what they do then label them how you want. E.g. The button to go back from the recordings from 1 night to the rest of the nights in your history is labeled "X off button". I've just labeled this as back. However the settings section, labeled as "More, 2 items", is compleately inaccessible. First off, the button is labeled as having 2 new items all the time, and all the buttons in the settings are unlabeld and don't do anything when you double-tap them. You shouldn't have to touch the settings, I just use the default settings, but if you wanna change something get sighted assistance.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some accessibility issues with this app, but it can still be used if you are willing to tolerate these issues and learn how to work around them.

Other Comments

This app only costs £0.69 at the time of submitting this, and I think it's worth it. Only had it for a week and turns out I hate orange juice and I express this through sleep talking. Lol scary. one thing VO users WILL need to know, when you start the app recording, which is by pressing the "Green Bed" button, the sound from your phone, including VO will go silent. The alarm clock that comes with this app is not accessible, so if you just use the normal iPhone alarm and in the morning it will stop recording and play the alarm sound, and the VO speach should return as long as you don't touch the volume. If you wanna turn it off before then, the easyest way I've found is to hold down the home button to activate voice control or Siri depending on what device you use. This should stop the recording and start VO speaking again. So if VO goes silent when you start it recording this is normal. Just lock your phone and don't worry about it it'll sort itself out in the morning or the way described above. Anyway despite the accessibility problems this is a brilliant app! Still recommend it!

I agree. I think recording 8 or 9 hours of sleep where a majority of the time it's completely silent would be a waste of space on the phone and can massively drain battery life. It sounds like a fun little app, and a good way to prove to my husband that he snores loudly, but it seems like without a voice activation function it might be a bit of a hassle.

Hi both, this app does have sound filtering, so basically if their is 85% where you weren't talking for 9 hours, it will put the 5 things it heard you say and only let you listen to them. It deletes the silent parts, so the recording will go on for just a few seconds where you were talking.

Sorry if I didn't explain clearly in that last comment. Just so people know when I said 5 things, I was using that as an example. It will record however many things it heard and delete the silence.
