I use the normal site to post content, photos etc. When I write a post I find that normal words suddenly select friends. My neighbor's apartment had her staircase ripped out, causing quite a bit of noise. As i wrote "jackhammer", it selected someone whom was on my friends' list. Does anyone know how I can stop this from happening? It's completely redicculous. Yes, I can use the mobile site, but I don't if i can help it, seeing as I use the normal site of any company whenever possible. Thanks all.

Not your Mac
It's been that way for a while for all platforms that I know of. I don't use a Mac. Don't think there's anything you can do to stop it, but to get rid of the tagging suggestions, I either keep typing or, on my Firefox browser, hit escape.

iPad 9 gen with iOS 16 beta. Saw this but kept typing. Do not care for it myself.
I use safari
Safari won't let you keep typing and the escape thing sometimes works. Typical Metta BS saying one thing doing another can barely keep their heads above accessible water. Just talking out their cloaca.
