Good recording apps for music ideas

Hello, I'm looking for a recording app that's good for recording quick music ideas while I'm away from my instruments. I've been using the voice memos app, but it can be a little clunky for jotting down a quick idea for a beat or a melody. Anybody have suggestions?

I highly recommend using a GarageBand. I am a musician and I also like to record and arrange and write music. I am very proficient in using Logic Pro X on mac OS as my main DAW, but if you just want to record and not arrange and do mixing or anything like that, I highly recommend starting with GarageBand as a starter software. If you have more advanced needs, you might consider using logic.
Note that GarageBand is available on both iPad and iPhone, while Logic Pro X is only available on Mac OS. They are both very good in terms of accessibility. You will hardly find any other accessibility issues.

Alon Dictaphone supports stereo with the iPhones that have multiple microphones, which is really nice if you'd like that sort of thing. It also syncs to Dropbox on its own if you set it up that way, and is quite accessible. I've recently started using it for recording sketches of compositions, rehearsals and such.
