So how many of you have played with Mixonset so far? I love that app! So question I have is do you have to have the pro subscription in order to share a mix? Thanks.

Hello! I have not played with the app much, other than setting it up. Haven't had a lot of time to do that as of late. However, I know a way you CAN get your question answered. I'd reach out to Orinks. I had a question about something related to Mixonset, and he got back to me promptly, but, answered my question. I just used the contact form on AppleVis.

Hello Lino,
No, you do not need a subscription to share a mix. You can create it as a playlist on your specified service and then share the playlist, and if the person you're sharing also has mixonset, they can create their own mixes from your mix.
FYI, the tutorial just became accessible as of June 15.

Hi Orinks. Thanks so much. Yep as you said the tutorial is accessible now. I need to play with it. I've been using the app for the past 2 weeks and I love it with Spotify.

Lino, thank you for taking the time to create this original forum thread. Orinks, I've seen yours as well, thank you, and I believe you created the podcast walkthrough, thanks for that.

I've been very interested in the automix/DJ space on iOS for the last 12 years or so, and this app, by far, seems to be very acceptable for those looking to perform current day style DJ mix sets. I stumbled upon this last night, when again, searching Google and the app store for an app to crossfade Apple Music playlists.
What Mixonset does in regards to importing Apple music/IPod playlists, is something I wish more apps took advantage of. Apple of course, does, allow for this, but what they may not allow for, is to manipulate Apple music tracks as to crossfade, or be used within another app. Mixonset takes care of this under the hood, it's kind of unknownst to the end user, and I'm not sure where they pull their music library from. I've heard a couple different versions of songs that what Apple Music hosts, and tried to cue a track that they do not have, but Apple does have rights to, to which you get a message stating so and advising that you may upgrade to the Title streaming service for access to, 90Million? tracks, I believe it is.
Everything that I've tried so far, seams to be accessible, and, I truly just love how simple the ap's interface is, it's not overbirdoning, with features. It can be as easy as, select your playlist, hit the smart mix button and listen.
If you want to dig in a bit deeper, there are rules you may put into place, for BPM, energy level, etc which will sort down the selected playlist further.
One suggestion I made to the developer today, was to have, key, in the rules, to make the mix not so jarring when switching to a different song while it plays the last 5-10 seconds of the outgoing track as beetmatching occurs. I know, professional DJ's don't care either, but having perfect pitch, I always seam to.

One thing I found very plesent today, was when using Mixonset over Bluetooth. VO came out of the handset, as expected, but, VO, didn't yell at me at full volume, as, also expected. This meant I could alter the playlist order/Cue and create my own mix, while, I heard VO, and the audience didn't. This is very cool! A DJ solution with an iOS device and a nice BT speaker is now, an option for the Blind Voiceover user.

OF course Cueing a track, is as easy as, swiping down on it and choosing play next. :)

IF you are not satasfied with the time stretching algerithm over headphones as beet matching occurs, know that, it is not as noticeable over speakers, this is awesome!

I am looking forward to the future of this app for sure!! I certainly appreciate the developer taking the time, steps to make this app accessible to Voiceover users!

Howdy Drew. I think your the same Drew Weber that does voice imaging stuff right? I think I've heard you a few times on Shroom FM. I love the app. I know I'm limited in music now that Spotify cut back on the use of their music with Mixonset. I hope the DEV's in the future would consider a WIN 10 app store app or a full bore PC app for Mixonset.
