iPhone Upgrade Difficulties with Log In and Music

Hello

I replaced my old iPhone with a shiny new 13 Pro yesterday. The automatic transfer of apps and data seemed to go very well, and within a reasonable time I was up and running.

Then the issues arose.

I use iTunes on a PC to micro manage music on my phone. I was pleasantly surprised to see that all my music migrated. That is until I tried to sync the phone last night. It said there wasn't enough room. I wasn't putting anything on it, just refreshing my play counts. I decided to try removing all playlists, and re sync. The music was still there. I went so far as to turn off music syncing entirely, and the music is still there.

In a moment of brilliance, I decided to try resetting the phone with the Up Down Power button. It restarted, and no Voice Over. I forgot that happened last night on a reboot, because I had nearby sighted assistance, and was up and running in moments. Now, I'm stuck here with a dead phone until someone is around, in around 2 hours.

I tried the tripple click power button. I tried begging Siri. I even tried turning on Voice Over with iTunes, but because the phone is fresh off a boot and not unlocked, iTunes doesn't see it.

And more irritants, while walking with my guide this afternoon, using a pair of Air Pod 2, the audio was hiccuping occasionally. That's something i never heard with my old phone. I chalk it up to the phone still settling in, but in the face of my music and now lock out issues, it's just one more thing.

I really don't want to do a full reset of the phone, and perhaps a restore from back up will solve the music issues, of course once I can unlock it.

Not exactly the smooth experience I was hoping for.

Apple Accessibility tried a couple things, and then had me do a reset all settings. That solved the no speech on log on, but of course wiped all my Voice Over settings, WiFi etc.

Since I had all the set up to do, I tried doing a factory reset to get rid of the music. We tried restoring apps and data, and it put all the music back on, while leaving my settings a mess.

I'm probably going to have to nuke, pave, and start over as a new device. It will likely whittle down my apps count, as well as my remaining hair..

This is very frustrating.
