Hi all,
I'm an Apple Music subscriber, though actually I'm not sure that's relevant as my question is about the Music app itself, on both iOS and Mac.
I have created and added to many playlists over time. When I add a song to a playlist, the song is simply added to the end of the list.
Is there any way to sort and reorder the songs in a playlist. For example I might want to open a playlist and sort it by artist name, album or date added. Additionally, I would like the ability to manually reorder the playlist, i.e. to drag songs up and down so I can choose the order they will play.
I can't find such options in the iOS or the Mac versions of the Music app. This is rather frustrating as it strikes me as a rather basic thing to be able to do.
I hope I'm just missing something ☺️

To re-order on iOS
When viewing a playlist, double tap on the More button, then select Edit from the menu, and voila you can drag tracks to re-order them.
Sorry, but I can't help with the rest of your questions ☺️
Progress
That's brilliant, thanks. I had spotted the More menu but had not paid attention to the Edit button.
I have now figured out how to do the sorting on Mac, it's in the View menu of the menu bar. But I still cannot figure out how to sort on iOS, or how to reorder on Mac.
So I can do one action on iOS, and one action on Mac, but can't seem to do both on either of of them, lol.
