Fireballs
Does anyone know when to throw a fireball?
Fireballs
So you need to buy fireballs. I've finished one ending, it will be interesting to see what the other 3 are. The endless mode is good.
good game
I finished the story mode and then try a bit of the endless mode.
but, the gold coin s I got can not use in the story mode.
I hope later it will have the shop in the endless mode as well.
Awesome
I haven't finished story mode yet, but I'm really loving the game and look forward to trying endless mode.
knowing my luck I will…
knowing my luck I will probably beat the story mode in 1 sitting. I'm used to games such as MK11 and KI, so this should be easy, too easy. even blind drive was way too easy for me.
difficulties
well,
the best thing is:
we can choose the difficulties when you think it is too easy or too hard for you!
gold coins in the endless mode
well,
I found that we can earn gold coins in the endless mode.
but, can not use it in the story mode.
I hope in the endless mode.
we can have a shop and buy some upgrade for the weapons or healing things
keep up the good work
well,
keep up the good work @Kikiriki Games
looking forward the next exciting games.
Endless mode coins
I guess that in the endless mode, gold coins are just a substitute for points. It's a bit of a survival mode and it's also a nightmare.
Endless mode coins
I think that the only way to get arrows, healing possions and fireballs is to kill. I think you get 1 arrow per kill, and a fireball every 8 kills or something.
Shooting arrows
Is it better to wait untill the enimy gets a little closer before you shoot? I've aimed, but sometimes I miss. Howill does that work?
Not sure
I just tried my luck and hope for the best. Apparently the closer the enemy, the bigger and easier they are. The greater the distance, the harder the enemy.
I think a good way to go about it
I think a good way to go about it is to let the enimy get a bit closer, then try shoot them rather than wasting arrows.
Shooting
Yes, the closer the enemies are, the easier it is to shoot. I have now unlocked endless mode, and prefer it over the story mode.
One thing I like about endless mode
Unlike the endless mode of other games, this one actually have a proper origin and explanation as to why the event happens. The princess is having nightmares.
try to change difficulties
if you think it is too easy.
try to change the difficulties.
I finished the game in 2 hours or something.
it is not bad.
Agree with Oliver's comments above
Definitely agree with Oliver's comments above regards his rating of the game. I had the game finished very quickly. When games come out, there is so much hype about them, then the game is released and its all over in a matter of hours.
I guess we have been previously spoilt for choice when it comes to games, and I definitely think that Papa Sangre and A Blind Legend are the gold standard of what can be achieved in the audio game setting. When you think about it, Papa Sangre was released so many years ago, its hard to believe that we really haven't made any progress since then. If only the developers of older games had made the decision to modernize their games so they would work with the newer operating systems.
Having said all this, I will still continue to buy any games that are released, because without patronage, we won't get any more. I hope the developers of "To The Dragon Cave" see this game as a way of breaking into the market, but that they always strive to push the limits of what can be achieved. Its one thing to say "well, we made an audio game, yay for us" as opposed to "well we just made an audio game, that really pushes the boundaries of what can be achieved in this space". Games will not be improved if no developer makes the decision to really get stuck in.
Walking around
It would be great if as well as fighting, you could actually walk around, and like in A Blind Legend, and Papasangre there were obsticles you had to get around.
Just started playing
Hi! I installed To The Dragon Cave yesterday, and started playing it last night. I can understand the disappointment of some people here who feel the game is too basic and can be played through too quickly, and it's true that the voice acting isn't great, but on the whole I like To The Dragon Cave so far. I started playing late last night, so I picked easy mode and have only played one level, shooting at goblins, but I know there are plenty more enemies to come, and I would guess that those will be more and more challenging as I go along. I can't say I'm looking forward to levels where I must duck, though, given that I had problems doing the duck gesture when going through the tutorial, but hopefully it'll work when the time comes. In spite of the not-so-great acting and the lack of replay value some people feel this game has, I'm glad it was released, and I look forward to continuing it later.
I like the haptic feedback
well,
I like the haptic feedback when shooting the enemy!
hope the next game also have more haptic feedback as well.
so, how hard was it on hard,…
so, how hard was it on hard, AI want those who have beat it on 40 minutes on easy to try beating it on hard in 30 to 20 minutes or less. Then we can only say the game is too easy.
Good morning! I have a…
Good morning! I have a proposal for those who cannot understand the game. Would it be possible to email the game texts so that I could translate them?
I don't think the issue is that its too easy
So, I don't think the issue is that its too easy. Anything, even simple games can be hard if you crank up the difficulty level.
I just think that if games are marketed to be amazing and like nothing seen before, the game needs to follow through on the promises made.
I see it time and time again on the comment feed. A new and upcoming game is announced and everyone is absolutely losing their minds for it to be released, only for the end result to be a tad underwhelming.
For once I would like to see all the excitement expressed in the comments feed justified.
No offence is intended to anyone sharing a different view or to any developers, this is just my humble opinion. I contemplated not sharing it on here but thought, how are games going to get better for those with a visual impairment if those with a negative view always bite their tongues.
Story
I've now completed the story twice: the first time on easy difficulty, the second time on normal. I found it easier the second time around. For those who haven't beaten the game yet, make sure you are well equipped. I wish the diamond sword was available to us in endless mode.
anyway...
I hope we can have more games coming up soon
Diamond sword
I wish they release an update to include diamond sword in endless mode.
Because even though it’s a nightmare it makes sense to use your best equipment
Fireballs
It's good to save fireballs for bigger enemies or when there's more of them at one time. When they're getting closer - throw it!
Btw. there is already plenty of gameplay videos for To the Dragon Cave on YouTube, here's the playlist: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLmKNXqQhKbIqEUSpo7ISlQ-cWR7UjNg-_
Killing The Dragon
So in the last level, I was trying to kill the dragon with the arrows and the sword just for the challenge of it! I can fend him off for a little while but then start taking insane damage! Does anyone have any good strategies to defeat him? Or is the best way just to use fireballs?
Add Chinese support
Are the developers considering adding Chinese support to the game in the near future. I'm from China and currently studying in the US, I recommended this game to my Chinese friends, but it's disappointing that the game doesn't support Chinese so many players from China can't play this game.
