You can always save your documents to DropBox whatever app you use. And the Files app has access to DropBox too, so as far as I remember Scrivener saves to DropBox automatically.
It would also depend on the format of the files you are editing. I used to do everything in RTF, but I've been moving more and more to plain text files for a lot of things on Dropbox because it's builtin text editor seems to work really well, and do exactly what you're talking about. I'll eventually make the jump to markdown for all the formatting. Add it to the list of things I need to learn...

I get the feeling you want a word processor that will synk any document with the Dropbox copy of the file and seamlessly replace it.
