Strange problem with syncing iPhone over wi-fi???

Hi
When I had my PC I had it set to sync with my iPhone over wi-fi and when I got my Mac I wanted it to do the same. I've transfered all my data and signed in with my apple ID so it's all running of the same library and data.
I went on to my old computer and unchecked the "sync with this iPhone over wi-fi" check box, and then checked it on my mac. However, when I go to iTunes wi-fi sync on my phone it won't let me sync to my mac. It only says sync will resume when my old PC is available. I've double checked both computers, and it is deffinetly unchecked on my PC and checked on my Mac.
It syncs with USB fine, but not over wi-fi. Can anyone help? I am running iPhone 5 and Mac book air 11 inches if that makes any difference.

I am running Windows on an HP notebook, but I've had this problem for a long time now. I've checked Bonjour, and all the stuff in the Apple trouble shooting guide, but I cannot sync over WiFi. I hope someone has a solution as I'd love to fix this.

I used to be able to sync just fine. Then, poof. I couldn't do it any more. I don't believe anything changed on the router, notebook, or iPod Touch. I think it first started for me back in iOS 5. I can't say it started with a specific iOS version since I didn't choose to WiFi sync often due to the slower transfer speeds. The PC never sees the iPod wirelessly, and like you, the iPod always reports the PC as unavailable. They are both on the same WiFi network, both are using the same iTunes account, and at one time talked to each other just fine. I've done a full restore of my iPod, and PC during my outage. I have given up on it, and was surprised to hear another person mention it. When I posted about It here a long time ago, I don't recall any responses reporting shared experiences.

Sorry I've just had another look and its got stranger. I'll try and explain this the best I can. At the top of the page of the itunes wifi sync page on my phone it says "to enable wifi syncing with itunes, connect to your computer using a cable and click sync with this iPhone over wifi", which I already have done. Underneath that, it says "sync will resume when Callum pc is available", and displays the last sync time as the last time it was synced with my pc. This is where it gets the most confusing, as on my Mac, it picks up the iPhone, and it lets me sync with it, but doesn't show anything about syncing on the iPhone. As I said this is a very confusing problem, but if anyone can help that would be great. Thanks.

I don't know if this matters or not, but could it be a matter of authorization? For instance, on the PC, you have to authorize your computer before you sync with it. Perhaps if you went and de-authorized your old computer and then tried to authorize your new one, that would work? I am not an expert and this probably has nothing to do with it, but it's all I could think of that might make sense.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I've already looked into this and deorthurised my old computer and it hasn't worked. Thanks anyway :)
