Weather apps with decent notifications for severe weather

Hey guys, I am wondering, are there other weather apps that I do not have to subscribe to or pay money for to get notifications for severe weather? The weather app says that notifications for my area are not supported. I’ve checked my location services and all that, and that is all OK. I have an iPhone 12 with iOS 15.4. If possible, I would like one that has an ear grabbing notification sound, not just your typical tritones sound or whatever it is called.

If you're in Canada, the WeatherCan app is also good. Weather Office displays weather alerts but doesn't have notifications.

There's one I used to use. It was free, but, it was a little tricky to use, and accessible could be a bit hit or miss at times, particularly with monitoring more than one location.
But, if you just want to monitor one locale, you'll be good, as long as you activate the find your location setting with this app, because, then, it will automatically add it for you to your monitored locales. It's called Emergency, and its by the American Red Cross. They have every thing from thunderstorms, to earthquake warnings, and they tell you what to do, if disaster strikes depending on the warning.

Weading the info for the warnings and what to do for them is accessible, it's only the rest of the app that's a little... tricky. But, that's the only free one that I've found that will give you what you're looking for, and let you customize what alerts you receive. Really useful if you live in an area where hurricanes aren't a concern, but, say thunderstorms are.

I have the emergency app. I am from the US, and where I live, we get a lot of thunderstorms, but no hurricanes, earth quakes or things like that. Occasionally, we do get tornado warnings and watches, but That's about all. Part of the reason why I'm looking for one of these is because, spring is on its way and with that comes a heck of a lot of thunderstorms. The only issue with the notifications is that the alert sound doesn't grab my attention. Just this weekend, there was a red flag warning dew to really strong winds for my area. It just played this Little jingle. It's definitely not loud enough to wake me up in case something does strike my area. I've found the accessibility is very good, I haven't had any trouble with it.
