Braille on Apple Products
After a helpful debug session with Apple Accessibility, turning off Screen Recognition has fixed the random cursor jumps while composing emails with a braille display. I hope this helps anyone else having similar issues.
Hi,
I have a device (ipad 7) that's not capable of screen recigonition. I also get cursor jumping in Mail, and other places like Safari for instance. What workaround would anyone suggest? Thank you in advance! :-)
I'm afraid to inform you that Apple Accessibility has given you misinformation. I am experiencing the mail issue with the cursor jumping on my iPod 7 running iOS 15.4. This is a device which also does not have the option for Screen Recognition.
Hi, Scott! Glad to know I'm not alone. Although I'm sorry that you're dealing with the issue too. :-( I'm not saying that the workaround can't work. If it works for someone, then, I'm happy for them. But, I am curious as to what workaround someone can come up with, or hear of, that'd work for people like you and me, who have devices where this feature is not supported.
Hi.
The only ways I know to get around the issue involve copying and pasting what you have written once composed in another app. The only way I have found to mostly reliably write email messages in the Mail app is if I do not have any line breaks.
