I would appreciate some help on reading PDF docs on the Mac using the Acrobat Reader. When I open a PDF file, I am unable to get to the text itself to read. Many thanks.

Preview should be better, and it's included in Mac OS by default. If this isn't sufficient, there are some commercial options, but I haven't tried any of them.

Be sure you're running Mac OS Monterey for best performance with VoiceOver.

If you are intending on reading the files only, that is you are not going to fill forms or sign documents, use MacOS shortcut to extract PDF and import them into a TextEdit document.

Hi Jason, thank you for answering. I opened pdf files with preview but somehow I am able to get to the text itself. I think the setup when you open the doc, does not go straight to the text of the file but shows me a lot of different settings. I'll keep trying. On my Mac I have the latest OS. I also tried with Acrobat Reader DC with the same results. Blessings Pascal

Thank you Maldalain. I am very new to the Mac, so forgive my ignorance. Please provide the steps for using the suggested Mac OS shortcut as it is just what I need. Many thanks and God Bless. Pascal
