I recently got an iPhone 13 Mini and have been in the process of setting it up since Tuesday. I have noticed that when notifications come in and I hear them on the lock screen, they don't give as much information as my 8+, and unlocking my phone just to read a complete notification is something I'd prefer not to have to do. Is there a setting I need to change so the complete notification will be read out on the lock screen? I've gone over the settings and they seem OK to me, but the whole process is a bit overwhelming and I'm sure there's something I must have missed. Thanks for any help you can give me.

A couple of ideas
Just possibly this might be the issue:
Go to Settings > Face ID & Passcode and make sure that Attention-Aware Features is disabled.
This will have notifications appear in full on the Lock Screen without you needing to be looking at the phone.
Another thing to check is to go to Settings > Notifications and make sure that Show Previews is set to “Always”.
Both settings are as you suggested.
I can't use face ID with attention aware settings turned on. I'll try toggling the settings, but something they turn back on, seemingly of their own volition.
also, go to voiceover…
also, go to voiceover settings and under verbosity, make sure speak notifications is on
I looked again and always preview wasn't set as I'd thought.
Thank you for your help. It's working properly now.
Show previews vs speak notifications
When my iPhone 8 is locked and a notification (text message, reminder, etc.) comes in, Voiceover begins speaking the message, then it's interrupted and Voiceover restarts reading the message from the beginning. Why is this? Are the Preview Notification and Speak Notifications in Voiceover conflicting with one another?
Also, if the message is very long, the entire message is not spoken in the second reading. I'm wondering if the first reading was allowed to continue, would it be read in its entirety?
Is there any way to get the entire message, even a long message, read in full from the lock screen?
Note: I'm still running iOS 14 if that makes a difference. Is this no longer an issue in iOS 15?
Have you updated your phone?
That particular problem has been fixed in 15.4. I have not heard a single repeated notification since it came out last week.
