Unable to set display sleep time on macOS 12

I'm having a really weird problem with my Mac, and am wondering if anyone can help. I try to set the display sleep time (as it's currently set to 1 minute and that's way too short for my liking), but after I close system preferences, it totally resets to the previous value. Here's an Audio recording as well, in case this reveals something obvious I'm doing wrong. https://www.dropbox.com/s/sfonnc1od7ilv1b/20220314%200710%20Recording.flac?dl=1.
Any help is appreciated.

1. Interact with the slider and use the right arrow to increase percentage.
2. Press space+VO+CMD+Shift and then stop interacting then quit system preferences.
3. Reopen the battery tab in system preferences again, and hopefully the value is changed now.

Hi,
Thanks so much for your reply, this worked perfectly. Only thing is I had to vo command shift space first, then use the VO keys to drag it to the value, then double click.
