Super Agent for Safari

Description of App

Super Agent automatically fills out website’s cookie consent forms for you based on your preferences.

Super Agent’s mission is to make privacy simple, by giving power to users to decide if and how they want to be tracked and ensure that their options are automatically applied with no effort.

We’re all tired of complex cookie consent pop-ups that are hard to read, understand and navigate. Oftentimes, we just click accept to quickly get to the content. With Super Agent, you can now choose your preferences once and, for every supported website, this extension will automatically consent to your preferences for you.

We split optional cookies (including legitimate interest ones) into three categories: Advertising, Functional and Performance.

We automatically opt out of cookies that are not clearly within any of these categories, and let you control the remaining three.

Accessibility Comments

For the most part it is accessible and east to use and set up. It’s about 98% accessible. The only part that isn't accessible is where you can sign in to share your settings with your Mac. On that page is where you will bind several unlabeled buttons but easy to figure out what they are for. I only use this for the iPhone and not with the Mac, so I don't even bother signing in with an account.

VoiceOver Performance

VoiceOver reads most page elements.

Button Labeling

Most buttons are clearly labeled.

Usability

There are some minor accessibility issues with this app, but they are easy to deal with.

turn on screen recognition while filling out the form for your email address and password. Once you get the security code, you have to use the keypad to enter it. Turn screen recognition off before using the keypad. This will validate your account. this will allow it to sync with your Mac.

In case either of these situations happens to you:

I tried setting up Super Agent on my Mac but was blocked when it came to extension permissions. It appears I will need to start my Mac in safe mode (by holding down the shift key as my Mac starts up) and then checking the permission checkbox.

The other thing is that the app store notes indicate that you need to have IOS 15 on your iPhone to be able to run Super Agent. I never upgraded from IOS 14 because of all the VoiceOver bugs, so I won't be using it on my phone.

to allow system extention

  • turn off the mac.
  • if you own an m1 mac hold the power button about 5 seconds after power up.
  • turn on voiceover.
  • navigate the security dialogue and set yourself to less secute.
  • check both boxes then click ok, enter your password and you should be fine.

Odd that you were prompted to jump through some hoops to set this extension up on Mac.

I simply installed and then enabled in Safari preferences without any issues. This is on an M1 MacBook Air running the latest release of macOS.

Mine is a 2017 8 core Intel CPU Imac Pro. Apple's help instructions told me to hold down the shift key on reboot to enter safe mode in order to add the extension, probably because I have Big Sur, not Monterey. No biggie.

I use youtube and audible with a sign in already set. If I use the app, would I need to add the user name and password all the time?
