I purchased THings 3 on Iphone, and decided that it will replace my Reminders and calendar app on my Iphone, but this is not so helpful like what they said.
- Accessibility is not the best, specially in Dragging reminders etc.
- It is not possible to create or edit calendar events, they will be displayed inside your today's view etc, but you should edit them from the calendar app, so same as Ios, you will open your 2 apps to edit somethings.
- If you use Iphone and mac OS like me, you will not use THings on mac at all, even if you will decide that you will purchase it, because It is not accessible on mac at all.
- with some Reminders arrangement, you can reach the same level of arrangement as THings, Specially That we are as blind users, do not use COlouring and arranging things through today's view for instance.

Thank you for that honest review
I would really encourage you to write to the application developer in the same lines highlighting the barriers you face with respect to accessibility
the best combination forā¦
the best combination for tasks and calendars has been Fantastical and OmniFocus for me. Both work on mac and iOs very well, you can automate both very easily and their accessibility support is amazing.
SOrry, what are you talking about?
@Jakob:
thanks so much for this, but do you mean Things or another app? or APple native apps?
I did this
@Mister: i did this, and they did not give me good answers about accessibility, specially dragging reminders.
When talking about THe mac version, they told me that Accessibility is not a concairn for them now.
Fantastical and omnifocusā¦
Fantastical and omnifocus are apps. Fantastical for tasks and calendars, and Omnifocus for tasks only. Its as flexible, or even more so, as things is.
will i pay for a subscribtion each mont?
Just need to ask, why will i use 2 apps? can i depend only on Fantastical for instance?
and what about the price for subscribtion? Things is just once.
OF and fantastical areā¦
OF and fantastical are subscription based. Its up to you to decide though which app fits your specific use case.
Ugh! The company thatā¦
Ugh! The company that created Things hasn't had any interest in accessibility since it released version 3 of that app. The whole thing's kind of disgusting, given how much gushing everyone does over what a great iOS app in particular it is.
The solution I use for this is Goodtask. While the author doesn't always remember accessibility, he absolutely always fixes it when I've written him about it, which gives him points in my book. You can create tasks or calendar events, and you can have lists that mix the two, for example I had a dashboard view that showed me all my tasks and events for the next week.
Goodtask more Explnations?
I downloaded the Goodtask, seems better and cheaper than something like Fantastical,
but, for me seems complicated,
don't you have a detailed review or a podcast on how to use it?
Goodtask
Honestly, no I don't, and yes, it is kind of hard to use, but it's worth it.
There are docs, and there's a forum. and if you have a specific question you can ask and I'll try to help.
