Hi everyone. As previously mentioned I got a new Mac for Christmas. So far so good for the most part, but I've run into an issue where the Character Pallet is coming up every time I start the Mac. A sighted tutor and I are in the process of transferring things from my old Mac over here, and we're currently having a bit of trouble transferring my entire music library. We're trying to sort that one out. But what is this Character Pallet and how do I get rid of it? I'm running an M1 MacBook Air with 12.1 . Tia for anyone's assistance.

RE: Character Pallet Appearing Upon Startup
I had this issue on an M1 Air running OS 12.1, and I noticed the character palette also popped up any time I pressed the Fn/Globe key (the bottom leftmost key on the U.S. keyboard layout). I don't want it popping up when I press the Fn key, so I changed the Fn/Globe key action from "Show Emoji & Symbols" to "Do Nothing," and This also seems to have stopped it from popping up at startup.
This setting can be found in System Prefs > Keyboard > Keyboard.
