Grim Quest is a classic turn-based RPG / Dungeon Crawler with gothic aesthetics and a retro vibe. Great game
Has anyone tried this game yet. I’m able to finish the demo so I decided to buy the full game
Seems great but needs work.
Maybe you have a bit of vision which makes it a little easier for you, but in my case I would say it needs some work. For one, sometimes when I swipe through options, I only hear clicks. The settings seem to be accessible enough, although it doesn't always indicate which setting is on or off by default. I'm not sure if some things are supposed to be read with screen recognition, but screen recognition is not a reliable source when using VoiceOver. Let's just say that some things are read, while others not. I will definitely return to the game once accessibility is improved.

Accessibility

I'm afraid I completely disagree with the above accessibility comments regarding the game's dungeon, the game is entirely accessible, all the info you get as a blind/Vi player is exactly the same as a sighted player, it's just playing the game itself that is tricky.
The way dungeons work is all dungeons are an entirely open grid, with space 1 in the top left corner, you will always be told what space you're on at the top of the screen.
to move forward through the dungeon, find the text that says "this is you", swipe right to the click sound of an interactable area and double tap, you will notice that your position changes.
To walk back, find that text, swipe back and double tap.
You can move through the entire dungeon this way, though sometimes you might want to move vertically, like say if the exit is behind you, or you want to get back through an area you've already explored, in which case, flip the rotor to vertical navigation, and tap one space above or below your character, since all spaces in the dungeon are interactable, there's no getting this wrong.
Mostly, spaces in the dungeon are blank, and things like monsters and encounters will just happen at random when you move into unexplored spaces, but occasionally what is in the next tile will be revealed, with labels vo will always speak.
the only other two miner issues is that to target monsters in battle you need to tap the blank areas under their names, or swipe across the blank areas to split attack, and that sometimes in long dungeons, or in shops with big inventories, it's necessary to do three finger swipes to move the page along to show more of the screen's contents.
other than that though, I'd say the game is accessible, as well as being great fun, and would absolutely recommend people give it a try.

Last time I checked
Last time I checked, accessibility is based on how much VoiceOver reads. Silent clicks, screen recognition and work arounds doesn't fall into that category. I would rather VoiceOver say go forward, backwards and so on. If there's a blank space, then VoiceOver should say so. Not saying anything May let the player believe it's an unclickable element. While I do agree that it's doable, it's not fully accessible. The current rating in my opinion is fitting. Claiming otherwise would be talking out of your ass. Even when you're not in the dungeon, there are many blank clicks which just doesn't pass for accessibility.
Access recommendations
I'm afraid the problem here is the blank clicks actually do! represent the same information a sighted player gets, since most of the tiles in the dungeon are actually blank anyway, plus of course, there is actually no need to tap above or below your character, you can just swipe right past the "this is you", label and keep tapping to move, and you'll go forward through the hole dungeon.
Targeting monsters was something that was a pain the first time, but okay once I got the idea.
If you trail your finger down from the name of the monster you're fighting, and tap the interactable area just below it, or swipe one left from the listing of your condition.
This is a miner pest, but is the same each and every battle, Vo doesn't randomly decide to stop reading page elements, or require you to do poke and hope tactics, or have screens with so much information that what you're looking for is hidden.
It's not ideal certainly, but it's far from something that would be a major annoyance to put up with or would spoil a game long term, considering it is always the same each and every fight, and likely something most players will get pretty quickly, heck, there are plenty of accessible games that require you to tap on specific parts of the screen to access specific things.
That's why I'd say myself this has miner access issues, and most elements read, rather than major ones, since though there is a slight learning curve, the over all effort required to play is pretty much the same once you get what's needed, whereas something which has major issues would be something that always requires considerably more effort from the vo user.
The biggest problem right now
I'd say the biggest problem we have right now, is the utter silence from the rest on this site. Silence often speaks volumes and it bothers me that no other people has dropped their opinions yet. I guess for now, it's just us three Musketeers. Let's see what become of this.

I think it’s mostly fine
I think it’s easy to learn how to get the hang of it find the you are here swipe left or right of it to go forward or back it loops from side to side so you can get through the dungeon
Tips at the top center of the screen will tell you which tile your on when you reach the end swipe right to scroll to reveal more tiles if the floor has more
My only real issue is with the attack skills for instants the flurry skill requires you to double tap to activate but voice overs double tap counts as only one tap so it makes it impossible to use that attack scale this is a problem with other attacks skills as well otherwise I think the game is great and can be learned pretty easily ひ

I see but I feel like that would get annoying turning on and off voiceover I wish it worked like the spells where you choose the spell you want to use then you select the monster you want to hit it with

Turn VoiceOver on and off, trace your finger down, swipe left or right from there or there. It's all workarounds. Yes it's doable, but accessibility does not rely on workarounds. I've tried to make a poll on Facebook, but for some stupid reason, it only allows me to create one poll option. How the heck do I add more? Oh and let's not forget, we are only discussing the dungeon. Even outside the dungeon, there are blank clicks which doesn't sit well with me.
Contacting the developer
The developer told me that he will see what he can do about accessibility but I didn’t see any improvement yet
silence about the game's accessibility
It's precisely because of the lack of interest from users of this site that I was so bothered by this game's initial access classification, since obviously the less accessible an ap is deemed to be, the less people are inclined to tangle with it.
I've not tried flurry myself, though I don't know if you can also just tap on the skill and then the monster to target it the way you can other skills and ignore the gesture requirement.
I haven't particularly noticed a massive amount of blank clicks or interaction issues outside the dungeon, since basically all screens are pretty much the same at that point and other than the three finger swipe thing I mentioned, they all seemed to work fine.

Don’t rush
There are already quite a few games like this one that are accessible. I suppose that’s why there is a lack of interest. I have played 4 of them I think. So when I downloaded it and I became aware of the accessibility issues I didn’t bother anymore.
