Accessible Browsers Other Than Safari

iOS and iPadOS

Greetings.

I am looking for the most accessible browse for iOS other than Safari. I would like an alternative browser for those times when a site just isn’t cooperating with Safari and it’s not VoiceOver related, just an issue with the site working with the Safari browser.

Thanks.

Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge and Mozilla Firefox.

Off the top of my head, both Chrome and Firefox are good options which are both accessible. However, one thing to keep in mind is that all of these browsers are in fact going to most likely work like Safari. This is because of Apple's restrictions on iOS, which require anything that displays webpages to use a more restricted version of the Safari engine. So the only real difference these other browsers give you is their interface will look different, sometimes you get extra options like ad blocking and they can sync with their respective computer versions IE your Google or Mozilla account to keep your bookmarks and history synchronized, but in actuality you're still using Safari to browse in a way.

I use Microsoft Edge as my backup browser in iOS. I thought about making it my default, but it just felt weird, so I just keep it around for exactly the situations you've described here. It works really well, and syncs with my computer.

Almost every browser I have tried on my iPad is accessible. I use brave most of the time, and it has built-in ad blocker.
