Has anyone else had Voiceover become unresponsive after ending a phone call?
often after ending a call Voiceover goes silent on me when trying to use the screen, I just hear the VO gesture doink sounds as if I’ve turned speech off. It’s intermittent so has proven difficult to demonstrate for Apple support so I just wondered if anyone else has seen this happen?
It previously happened on a iPhone 12 under IOS 14 and still happens on IOS 15 on a iPhone 13. It resolves if you lock and unlock your screen but having to do that is not always ideal in some situations.
With it being intermittent and me only having the one device I haven’t been able to recreate it on command or make a video record of it in action like Apple have asked for, Hoping others have seen this and also been able to demonstrate to Apple………

Hi, To be filed under maybe misery loves company I am a living witness my device does this nearly every time under iOS15.1. I called Apple about this very thing and it's a known issue with an on going ticket. I don't have that ticket number but the rep with whom I spoke added me to it. So perhaps call in and maybe they'll add you to it as well the more who report it perhaps the more attention it'll receive. And I agree trying to lock and unlock device and restore VoiceOver to responsiveness all the while hoping you don't accidentally redial the last person to whom you've spoken with is neither ideal nor fun. Here's hoping this pesky thing gets resolved sooner rather than later.

I’ve had it reported with them a while, they ask me to make a video of it happening. Perhaps they don’t understand when I say it’s intermittent ☹
Same here with Air pods
I just opened a forum thread yesterday on this as well, but for me, it is happening when I am using Air Pods.
The way I get VO back is to ask SIRI a question, after the response, VO comes back. Try that one and see if it works for you. Outside of that, I was triple hitting lock button multiple times to start VO over, but the SIRI thing is more convenient in places where I can talk to the phone.
This was happening in iOS 14 as well, and I was hoping it would be resolved in 15, but alas...

Hopefully everyone experiencing it can report it to Apple and they will see it's not a isolated issue
