Hello all,
Greetings.
I am Tejas from India.
I want to buy iPhone SE 2nd generation which was launched in 2020.
I want to ask can I use this phone at least for next 4-5 years? What iOS version is this phone upgradable up to?
Your views will be very much helpful for me in taking the decision.

iPhone SE second generation
Hi, I have an iPhone SE second generation and have found it to be a very good phone.
You should be able to use it for at least four or five years if not more as it runs the latest software very well as It runs one of the latest chips. It has the A13 Bionic chip which is the same chip that the iPhone 11 has. Therefore, it should be supported for a least another 4 to 5 years.
Remember that the iPhone 6s and the original iPhone SE are still supported and they came out about five years ago. Apple seems to be the best where supporting older devices is concerned. Therefore, I seriously don’t have any problems recommending you by the second generation iPhone SE as you should not have any issues where support is concerned. If you do buy it, I hope you enjoy your new phone.
Couldn’t agree more
I also have the same phone and I really like my phone. I will be getting a new battery for my phone, and I’m waiting out for some more time to see if Apple gets another finger print sensor in their phone. Hope you like your new phone if you decide to get one. also, if you have the finances available you might be smart to get the apple care plus if it is available there in India. Hope this helps you a lot.
Me too.
I have the Iphone SE2020, I think that's the phone you're talkingabout? It works fine for me and I'll be using it for about another 5 or so years unless something truly game changing comes out.
I have this phone too
I as well have the iPhone SE Second Generation, AKA the iPhone SE 2020. it works well and as others said, runs the latest iOS version(s.) without a problem. I am on the developer beta, iOS 15.2 is great. Touch ID works well, and I use Apple Pay which works well also. you will not go wrong with this phone.,AppleCare+ is a good investment, and I have it as well.
iPhone
HI!
I am using this device.
This is an actual device.
This is a suitable device for me.
But for you... It is a bad device!
Don't buy it.
Take the last device iphone 13 pro max. It is the bet device. But not for me.
Cheers!
This is a good phone
Hi! I have had an iPhone SE 2nd generation, or iPhone SE 2020 if you prefer to call it that, since April 2020, and it's definitely a very good phone, running the latest version of IOS: since it was released last year, I think it will be quite a few years before it can't take the latest operating system. Its battery life is not as good as some other iPhones, but that may be because it is smaller than some other recent models. It is the only recent iPhone with Touch ID if you prefer that, and it costs less than the iPhone 12 and 13 models. I have no plans to upgrade to a new iPhone for a year or two at least, as long as the battery doesn't give up charging, which happened to my old iPhone 6 around the time the SE 2020 was released: this gave me an excellent reason to get the SE 2020, which is the same size as the 6 and still uses Touch ID.
IPhone SE
Tejas, Hubby & I got IPhones for our anniversary just about a year ago now. I *really* like it. I can put it in my purse, but he has a bit more trouble in terms of where to put his. He's glad it's not bigger--it's actually the smallest phone Apple has, I think.
I routinely run all my favorite tech apps like Seeing AI, Voice Dream Reader/Scanner, Voice OCR, Maps for navigation, BARD Mobile, Kindle, an app to control my instant pot, calendar, restaurant & banking apps--& of course we can't forget Apple Music as well as some games along the way.
I got a really good case for mine--it makes it a little heavier, but that dad-gum phone's protected to the hilt. I think it's a device you'll enjoy a lot. Before getting this, I just used a basic flip phone to make calls--I had it turned off most of the time simply because of the annoying number of spam calls I received. So I wasn't 1 to rely on my phone for everything. I'm frankly surprised about how much I actually do w/it now lol. It was certainly easy to slide into doing so. I hope whatever decision you make, you'll be happy with. Much just depends on what you want to use the phone for--if you need something w/a good camera, for example, then this would likely not be your best choice. But if you just need something that'll do the basics & do them well, then this is your phone, my friend. Good luck & much success.
Maybe not the best camera, but still good
It's probably true that the iPhone SE 2020 doesn't have as good a camera as some of the bigger more powerful models, but, even though I don't use the camera on my SE very much, as I don't take photos, I find it works well in OCR apps such as SuperSense and Seeing AI.
I as well have the iPhone SE, Second Generation
so the official name for this phone is iPhone SE, second generation, not the iPhone SE 2020, or iPhone SE two. this is according to developer downloads on Apple's developer site. I realize not everyone can afford the membership cost, but if you go to developer downloads on a Mac ( does not appear in iOS,), you will see a heading called restore images view all. this heading lists all restore images for supported iPhones, and when listing the iPhone SE, Second generation, it specifically calls it that, no SE 2020, or SE 2. just thought all should know.
