I wanted to pick iOS VoiceOver users brains here who have experiences with robot mops.

It seems that there a range of them, but wanted to hear stories and experiences about how effective and accessible they are with pets and being blind.

Looking forward to recommendations, discussions, and cleaner floors!

We very briefly had a eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 15C MAX.

The eufy iOS app had some issues at the time (about 2 years ago), but it was still just about possible to setup and use the cleaner.

However, the cleaner itself was absolute pants.

It didn't have mapping capabilities, so was simply supposed to learn and remember rooms. However, it most definitely failed at this.

The layout in part of our house consists of three interconnecting rooms and a corridor, which allowed for the vacuum to circle through them. And, this is what it did, continually loop through this circle, without cleaning anything along the way other than its path to the next room. This was mildly entertaining for a very short while, but then very frustrating and disappointing. It also typically took it about 20 minutes to find its charging base when it was told to return to it, which didn't inspire.

All of that to say that app accessibility was only a small part of the story for us. Had the vacuum lived up to the manufacturer's claims, we would most likely have tolerated the app accessibility issues and still have the vacuum now. Instead, it was another time to be grateful of Amazon'd's returns policy.

At the time, the eufy vacuum cost us about $280. So, far from being expensive for a robot vacuum, but also not at the very cheapest end of the market.

We were tempted to try again with a higher budget, but came away from our initial experience thinking that the technology probably wasn't yet at the level where we would want it to be, and that as a result there would still likely be too many times when we would choose or need to reach for our regular vacuum cleaner.

However, I could likely be tempted into revisiting this position if others on here have had more positive experiences.

Of course, this was a vacuum and not a robot mop, so perhaps the story with them is better or different anyway. Sorry if this doesn't help in any way or fully relate to your actual question... I guess you simply gave me an opportunity to rant against that stupid eufy robot vacuum!

Irobot app is largely accessible. I have the top of the line braava jet M6 mop and is works flawlessly.

Thanks Justin for your recommendation! I've ordered the braava jet M6 directly from iRobot.

I'm so excited and look forward to it in a couple of days.
