Hi guys,
Is there an easier way to insert emojis using a braille display without needing to scroll to the globe on the braille display and then jump back to the search field? Can i create a shortcut for my most frequently used emojis and select the character I want from my braille display?
Sorry if I'm missing something super obvious. I read some threads that discussed emoji input but they covered the braille on screen keyboard and other third party keyboard apps.
Any other suggestions would be appreciated!

Text replacements?
I don't know if this works with displays, but could you use text replacements? Go to Settings > General > Keyboard > Text Replacements, and add one. For instance, I use "xtu" as my thumbs up emoji replacement. I tend to start my replacements with x or a symbol, so I won't accidentally type them in normal situations. I'm sure there are other ways to make them unique and easy to remember.
Anyway, if this does work, you could then type "xtu" on the display, and you should get a thumbs up emoji in place of the letters.

Thanks to iCloud, my text replacements have synced across all my devices but anyone familiar with text replacements probably already knows that. You can't use text replacements with braille input. But you can absolutely type emojis like a dream if you assign a text replacement using external keyboards and braille displays ❤️ Just in case anyone wanted to know

To use text replacements with Braille Screen Input, after typing the replacement, instead of typing space, flick up with two fingers.
