Hi. Try double tapping on the area where it should be, say around the F key, but hold the double tap until you hear three ascending tones. then let go. See if that works. i'm sorry I can't help more.

hi if you are talking about some iOS device try the follow :^ try close all the apps using app switcher, to do this press and hold twice the home button, then after listen the sound, will voiceOver say app switcher follow for the first app that's running, on the buttom left corner look for the first app do double tap and hold until listen editing apps don't forget realize your finger just look for all the apps and press double tap on them. when you wone all the apps draw the finger aroung of the screen or flick left or right until reach dismiss app switcher sthis bug occur most of the time when are running apps on the back ground. ^ try restart your iOS device hope this helps.

If you sometimes use a bluetooth keyboard then this will make the onscreen keyboard disappear. Pressing the key on the upper right of my Apple Bluetooth keyboard has voiceover on my iPhone 4s cycle between "Keyboard visible" and "keyboard hidden."

Did you double tap on the message body text field? If so, maybe try to restart the phone.
