A Western Drama

Description of App

A Western Drama is an arcade audio game, without any graphics, in which you only use your ears and a pair of headphones to interact with the environment of the game.

A Western Drama is an arcade audiogame with a deep story set in the American frontier of the nineteenth century, starring two bounty hunters, the young Wade and his master Drake.

As Wade, the player will have to face caravan thieves, robbers, cutthroats, mercenaries in violent shootouts and fast duels, trying to capture the four most dangerous criminals in the West and get to the heart of Wade's recurring nightmares.

Binaural audio allows players to live in a realistic world, without using any visual feedback. Through binaural audio, the player is immersed in a three dimensional audio world, that we have designed following the typical atmospheres of spaghetti western stories, full of characters, small outposts, dirt roads and cities.

There's no such thing as pressing escape on an iPhone.

I'm glad to hear that the game has finally made its way to iOS. I was all ready to go download it until I heard the price tag. Here in Canada, it's $20 and that's just a little too rich for my blood.

Don't get me wrong, I am not one of those who expects these games, for which a whole lot of work has gone into them, to be free, but for an iOS game, I find it's a little too high.

Maybe after some time has passed and I hear thoughts from others whom have taken the plunge, I may pull the trigger, but for now, I think I'll wait.

A huge thanks for the developers for the hard work I'm sure they have poured into the game and I hope they keep it up.

Thanks!

This sounds like a great game. But after I'm shown how to rotate and move my character, it says something about saving the game after every mission and then freezes. I've tried to get past this several times. That was a lot to spend on a game, so I hope it is fixed soon so that I can play and experience the story. Has anyone else experienced this?

Apparently, you need to press escape to go forward. Quite impossible on an iPhone. If this doesn't get fixed, or I don't get my refund, i'll never buy another audio game until someone else finish it first.

Due to not being a big fan of audio games, I haven't played this one yet. THough it seems interesting enough for an AG that I may. That said, regarding the price, even Indie games are around $20CAD. Unless this game is so under-polished and short that you wonder where your hour went, I don't think $20 is unreasonable for this type of game. I do get that a lot of us probably can't afford such lavish expenditures, but games aren't cheap to make, even indie, audio games clearly done by more than a single person. Hopefully this game does well, despite people's misgivings about the price.

Have just downloaded it on my iPad, and when I tried to play it, the game wouldn't respond to my touches.

Hopefully the game will be updated again within 170 years or less.

To escape one finger double tap the screen and it should work.

It didn't work in the previous version, but it works now. However, there is now another part where this game becomes unresponsive. I've decided not to put up with this and got myself a refund. This used to be a top-notch company, but ever since Fury driver 1, they started going off the track.

I move the Finger to where the voice indicates, and the gesture does not work.

In one of the rules that take place in chapter 2, I swipe up when the tone indicates to do this after the drums, and me and the boss end up shooting each other. So we both end up dying. Is this a bug or am I just not timing it right any hints would be helpful.

By DMNagel on Friday, September 24, 2021 - 04:15

So it looks like they have sorted out the bugs. Maybe I'll be able to buy it again.

By MusicLover99 on Friday, September 24, 2021 - 04:15

How do you avoid taking damage from shots? It says I'm surrounded by enemies and to swipe in different directions to shoot. I'm doing that but I'm still dying every time. Any idea what I'm missing?

Swipe down when the enemy is shooting

Thanks for explaining that to me! And I watched the video as well and really enjoyed it!
