lire: RSS Reader

Category

Description of App

Love RSS feeds? So do we!!

RSS feeds are a great way to follow updates on your favorite website. However, some sites set up their feeds to only show a portion of each entry, you know, to get you to click through to their actual website. We find that really annoying, and we're sure you do too.

Which is why, unlike other RSS feed readers, that either push you into a browser (in-app or otherwise), or depend on third party text parsing services and require you to be online to fetch the full text of one article at a time (which makes it no different from having to click/tap through to a website), in lire, you get your favorite RSS feeds as they should've been. You don't need to click through to any website (though, you do still have the option to, if you really wanted). It takes your favorite partial feeds, does it's magic, and converts them in to full feeds, so you don't have to click/tap on those annoying 'Read more' or 'Continue reading' links.

Once they're cached, you don't even need to be connected to read your full-text feeds.

Use as a standalone feed reader,

or,

sync with any of the several services: Feedly, Feedbin, FeedHQ, The Old Reader, Inoreader, BazQux Reader, Newsblur, Feed Wrangler.

Usability

The app is fully accessible with VoiceOver and is easy to navigate and use.

Other Comments

This is my favourite app for managing feeds. First of all, you can read the articles also offline, because the app retrieves all full text of a feed. this is the most comfortable service I know about this kind of app. Second, it run as a standalone app, managing feeds without need of third party app. Anyway, from version 2.0 it supports Feedly and many other third party services. If necessary, you can convert the article in ebook format, or share also with evernote, and obviously with main social networks and services. Anyway, when you read an article, you have only the text, because the app has cached it, so no images, no ads or links, just all the complete article.
And finally, if there is a difficult feed to parse and text is not available, you can use Mercury service that process text and formats it well for you.

Lire version 1.9.12 has been released with many awesome VoiceOver usability enhancements! "What's New in Version 1.9.12 Accessiblity Improvements βœ” New section in settings called 'Accessiblity Options', allows users to set what VoiceOver does, and does not speak in a list of articles. Everything besides the article title can be toggled on/off. βœ” VoiceOver can now also speak article summaries while still in a list of articles. βœ” The Rotor now has the delete action everywhere you can delete something, like list of feeds, list of articles, list of bookmarks etc. βœ” VoiceOver will now announce when it has finished refreshing and started caching new articles. βœ” Changed a few button labels to make more sense. :-) Other Improvements Include βœ” Sharing an article via Email now shares the entire Article instead of just the link to the article. βœ” Tons of improvements to the feed parsing logic. You should see a much fewer "XML document is not a valid web feed document" errors."

Hi all, Thanks very much for this one, it's definetely awesome! I have some comments though, and I'm curious about what you folks think about them: - i would like to hear the "Unread" mention before the article title. - In the article window (when it's has been opened), we have an option button, allowing us to delete all articles, mark them as unread and so on. This button is labelled with the feed title in it, which could be rather long to hear if the feed name is long. In my opinion, this button should be labe"lled "option" or "actions" as usual.

To really get the best from it go ahead and pay the extra $5 to get the full text on every article. It's easier to read and share articles from this app than it is on my computer. I highly recommend it, especially with the author's willingness to make it better with Voiceover.

What's New in Version 1.9.13

βœ” Fixed a bug the caused accessiblity options to not be saved properly.
βœ” Fixed a bug (that got introduced in the previous update as a part of the improved feed fetching logic), that could caused some duplicate articles to appear, in some feeds.
βœ” Tons of other miscellaneous bugfixes.

Amazing new update! If you haven't gotten the update yet. Get it!

So many new features with in the app itself. Now has Folders, you can now sort your articles by oldest to newest or vice versa, new voice over options to select from, you can now import OPML, and many more.

What's New in Version 1.9.14

- New Feature: Folders for feeds. Allows users to manage their feeds in folders. Folders in lire are setup a lot like saved searches. Which basically means that you can add one feed to multiple folders, or even add one feed to the same folder multiple times (if you really wanted), without breaking anything. The caveat though is that deleting a feed from a folder will not delete that feed from the app.
- New Feature: OPML import. If you have an OPML file in another app (like Mail, or Dropbox), that is capable of opening/exporting files to other apps. Lire will now show up in the list of apps capable of reading OPML files. Just open the file, and lire will launch and import the subscriptions and folders from that OPML file.
Note: The larger the number of subscriptions you have in your OPML file, the longer it will take for lire to launch and import them.
- New Feature: New section in settings called "Article Sorting Order", allows you to set how articles are sorted in a list of articles. Current options include sorting articles by date, either newest first, or oldest first.
- Bookmarks list now has the two-part button at the top which allows you to sort between All or Unread Bookmarks.
- Accessibility Improvements: More toggles added to Accessibility Options in settings. Including a toggle for Feed URL, one for Feed Read/Unread Counts, and one more to give users the ability to toggle the longer (default) date format that VoiceOver speaks.
- VoiceOver will now provide audio feedback when you bookmark an article or a webpage, mark all articles as read or unread, or delete all articles.
- In most empty lists, VoiceOver will now provide meaningful feedback and a hint, instead of just saying: "Empty List".
- Tons of other minor changes to labels to make the app work better with VoiceOver.
- Fixed a bug that would cause the mail composer to crash for some users.
- The 'All/Unread/Search Limit' section in settings has been renamed to 'Article Lists Limit' since it it now also applicable to folders, and adding 'Folders' to the name just didn't seem like a good idea.

PS: I'm working hard on OPML export for a future update.

Version 1.9.15 has been released with yet more improvements! "What's New in Version 1.9.15 - New Feature: Double-tap on an article while still in a list of articles, and that article will be bookmarked. And, depending on where you have set your bookmarks to be saved, in Settings β†’ Bookmark Options, the article can be either added to lire's bookmarks, or sent to your favorite read later service. (this is a single finger triple-tap gesture for voiceover users). - Fixed an annoying bug that would cause articles to be displayed where the body-text of the article did not match it's title, in some feeds. - Fixed a bug that could cause the cached full-text of some articles to be corrupted and displayed as unreadable/garbage text. NOTE: The above two bug-fixes required some pretty major parts of the full-text caching layer to be re-written from scratch, so installing this update will wipe your existing full-text cache. It will not wipe your feeds, downloaded articles, bookmarks, folders, or saved searches, they should remain intact. If you would like to re-cache the full-text of all your downloaded articles, it would be a good idea to go to Settings β†’ Caching Options, and tap the 'Cache All Uncached' button."

This just keeps getting better!

What's New in Version 1.9.16
  • New Feature: OPML Export. Just go into settings and tap 'OPML Export' to get started.
  • Accessibility Improvements: More toggles added to Accessibility Options in settings. Including a toggle to disable Image Downloading, and one for Previous/Next buttons in Articles.
  • Tweaked the way feeds are added to a folder, to make it easier to add multiple feeds to a folder in one go.
  • When you mark all articles as read, or delete all articles, lire will now automatically go back when it's finished.
  • The refresh status now shows the name of the feed being refreshed instead of the percentage. So, if you get stuck with a bad feed, you would know which one it is.
  • Removed refresh progress indicator from the status bar at the top as it was in violation of the iOS Human Interface Guidelines, the progress is now displayed at the bottom, right where the last refreshed time/date is displayed.
  • Fixed a bug that would cause a feed refresh to get stuck half way through or so.
  • Fixed a bug that would cause feeds to be ordered randomly.
  • Tons of tweaks to the Article view to make it work better.
  • Fixed a bug that would cause a phantom activity indicator to show up in the status bar in some cases.
  • Removed the toggle for 'Faux Sepia Mode' from settings, as it caused a lot of confusion, you can still toggle it on/off from within an article.

Hello, here in italy many people (all lire users i suppose!) have a problem: OPML import does not work. The "open in Lire" button does not show up, either in e-mail attachments or dropbox or anything else. the developer does not know how to figure it out and asked me to look for other people anywhere in the world to test the OPML import procedure. Well, now we have the advantage that we have OPML export in Lire's latest update. so we can test the procedure with our own feeds. Here's the step-by-step test procedure: 1. from Lire, open settings. Go to OPML export, double-tap and click Generate OPML button 2. an alert should warn that OPML has been generated 3. click on "send by email", and send it to an e-mail you can check from your iDevice, or iDevices 4. Open the newly received e-mail, double-tap on attachment name, click "action" button and then see if "open in lire" shows up. In my iPhone 4s, it behaves strangely: if I send an e-mail to myself with my own exported OPML from Lire, "open in lire" shows up. If I check my e-mail from iPad, which has Lire installed too, the same file has not the "open in lire" button Same thing with dropbox files. If they are lire's exported OPML or are other OPML's I saved from somewhere else, "open in lire" does not show up, resulting they cannot be imported into Lire itself Please try all procedures. to send via e-mails, to save to dropbox, and so on thanks for now!

I just exported my IE9 RSS feeds to an OPML file, emailed the file to myself, and tried importing it to lire via the Email app's Action button. However, lire doesn't show up there -- other apps such as Voice Dream, FlashCards++ and FlashDrive do. Honestly given the way lire imports feeds from Google Reader (apparently one feed at a time), OPML Import would have been the most time-consuming option to transfer feeds. Hope it's fixed soon.

By jrjolley (not verified) on Friday, May 24, 2013 - 05:13

I was initially fed up that we had to pay twice for it during the early going but now both apps have fixed a lot of the issues I had so I decided to go both phone and iPad versions. The main one for me was that some article text didn't reflect it's title. For instance, you would open an article about a new IOS app but it would have the text about an iPad case. Obviously the parsing went wrong at those early stages of development but all is great now. Bookmarking with tripple tap has to be one of the best features of any RSS reader actually, the feed parsing logic is so much better generally. Go for it if you've not bothered, and yes I admit it, I was hard on this app but we've seen this before. Developers do a little bit, we jump as blind people and then they walk away from us. Glad to know this one is a keeper.

Hello, some comments ago I was saying that OPML importing and exporting did not work. Latest Lire version allows you to generate an OPML file, that can be sent via e-mail or opened -and exported to dropbox for example- with all your feeds. But, but. With the standard extension, OPML, this does not work. the file is generated but lire does not accept it for importing. You must rename the file as XML for example: Thomas feed lire backup.xml then, when you export it and send via e-mail or dropbox, when you double-tap it and manage it with mail's or dropbox's attachment manager, you get the button, called Open in lire. I tried it on my iPhone the iPad version does not support this feature yet, it will be available soon. When it's available I'll have not to worry of adding all my feeds back. I'll re-import them into the iPad with some simple taps! And, most important, if you have a google reader feed account with all subscriptions with folders, you can import them with its generated XML! Go to http://www.google.com/takeout and get your reader's data. The interface is a bit difficult, I had to ask for help to a sighted person. But then, the XML is ready with feeds and folders. A note about folders: Lire can manage duplicate feeds. that is, if you added applevis rss to lire manually, and then import the google reader's xml where applevis is included, applevis will not be re-added. But, if you have a folder called apple in your Lire app, and a folder called apple into your google reader account, when you import the xml file, you will find 2 apple folders in lire. so, take care I do not know if the developer will manage this issue or not. bye for now!
hi! importing files seems not to work if i try to export lire's backup feeds from my iPhone and try to import it in the iPad, now that iPad supports importing, i get "invalid opml format" i already warned the developer sending him some xml's working and the non-working one hope to find a definitive solution now i have my iPhone's feeds ordered properly by folders the iPad is a complete mess because i imported some test feeds from google reader takeout too

Version 1.9.19 is now available with a fix for the OPML export problem: "What's New in Version 1.9.19 - New Feature: Automatic Full-text Retrieval Override. Allows you to disable full text for specific feeds. Ideal for feeds that already provide full text, or for feeds, for which you do not necessarily need full text cached. Visit Feed Details from the Options menu to get started. This toggle is only available when the global 'Automatic Full-text Retrieval' toggle is enable from settings. - New Feature: Pull to refresh individual folders. - Fixed a few bugs in the OPML Export feature, which would cause a malformed OPML file to be exported. - Other minor bugfixes."

Leave it to Google to screw the one thing up that sort of worked with Voiceover. I like to read most of my RSS feeds on my desktop and use Newsrack, but like getting them on my Iphone as well and used Newsify, and Google Reader for the most part kept everything synched. I think it is great what the developer has done with Lire, I have yet to purchase it but have been following it on the boards, and of course listening to Robert Carter and Applevis's great pods on it. My question is is there any way to sync Lire with a Desktop application for RSS. I looked in the Mac App Store and saw that Lire wasn't there. I am hoping to do things the same way once Google Reader is gone, so have been holding off buying Lire, would love to hear if anyone has figured out a solution yet. Thanks.

Hello blindgator, There is no doubt that this effect all of us that rely on the Google Reader services. As you said this why it was such an awesome service. You could just about access the Google Reader service on about every platform out there. Unfortunetly, I have yet to find the silver bullet. Big services such as Feedly, Dig, NetVibes and Newsblur don't quite have the exact solutions we are looking for. Not only that but as you may noticed quite a few of those I have mentioned are not accessible! Plus, some are even going to charge monthly subscriptions. So those days of being FREE I'm afraid may be gone. I would figured by now that one would start to shine out since we are only talking about another 1 month before the Google Reader will be gone. So for now I love the Lire and it is giving me exactly what I need for the iPhone. So far I have been using my Outlook for my Microsoft solution for the RSS on the desktop. Yes, they are not Synced together but if you do find a olution. Please let us know! That goes for the other as well.
Hey Anonymouse, this is why I haven't jumped on board with Lire just yet, still holding out hope for a solution where I can have everything sync up nicely. I like many don't want to start buying apps and then find out there is a better way to get my RSS. For now, I have begun my migration using Newsrack on my desktop and still using Newsify on my Iphone. Ah the fun, as I seem to have gotten my old subscriptions transferred over from Google Reader, but all of my starred articles wouldn't convert over. For those of you curious the best way I have found is to go through my starred articles about a 1000 of them get rid of the old and useless ones and send the ones I want to keep to evernote. Yes, this process is going to take some time, and there is another way I have read about doing this much quicker with python, but I have never used python, and figured it was about time I did some Spring cleaning of my starred articles. It doesn't seem like Newsrack has announced anything about Google reader going away, so I doubt using them solely on the desktop and their Iphone app will sync everything up since they used Google Reader to sync all your feeds. Thanks for all your great contributions and work Anonymouse.

What's New in Version 1.9.20

- Performance improvements, under the hood improvements, and a whole bunch of minor bugfixes.

If you were having trouble opening OPML files to import into lire, please try again after installing this update, and let me know if you still face that problem.

Introducing cloud based feed parser:

The cloud based feed parser can return up to 100 articles from it's cache, even if some of those articles are no longer in the live feed. Which should be enough to ensure that most people don't miss any articles, if they are a reasonably frequent user of the app. Visit 'Feed Details' to enable the cloud based parser on a per feed basis.

A few things to know about the cloud based feed parser

  1. The cloud based feed parser can only return up to a maximum of 100 articles, so depending on how you consume feeds, it may or may not make sense to enable the cloud based feed parser on feeds that provide more than 100 articles already.
  2. The cloud based feed parser may not always be in 100% sync with the live feed, as feeds in the cloud are refreshed at preset intervals.

Other improvements include...

  • Fixed a bug the would cause a crash if you started a second refresh before lire had finished caching new articles.
  • More improvements to OPML import, now supporting more varieties of OPML files.
  • Some tweaks to make the app better aware of the state of the in-app purchase and a few other settings.
  • Improved image parsing.

Please be aware that the cloud based feed parser is still a work in progress, and sould be considered an experimental feature, so, it may be removed in the future if it is deemed unsupportable, or if something better comes along. This is also why, there is not a universal toggle to enable the cloud based feed parser for all feeds.

Hello All, The app worked fine last evening when I used it. when I woke up this morning and saw that their was an update to the app, I installed the update. After installing that update, I went to refresh my feeds and nothing happens. What I mean is, the application says that it is refreshing and what not, but after it finishes refreshing, there are no articals in my 18 feeds. I've tried force quitting the application and re-opening it after an hour or so, but after the refresh is complete, I still show that no articals have been gathered in any of my 18 feeds. Is this something that I am doing wrong, or did something happen on the DEV end with the latest update? I did not change any settings on my end from last evening to this morning and the application worked like it always had until the installation of the new update this morning and now it does nothing. Let me know if others are experiencing this issue please. Thank you. -Andrew-
There does appear to be a problem with the latest update. In my case, only a handful of my feeds were refreshing. The majority were reporting no new articles, even though they are such high volume feeds that this couldn't possibly be correct. What I did, was to go into the settings screen for each feed. I then toggled the cloud based parser to the opposite of whatever it was currently set to. I then refreshed the feed. Still no articles were loaded. However, if I went back into the settings and toggled the parser back to its original setting and then refreshed, new articles were retrieved. I don't yet know if this has permanently flushed out whatever the problem was, but I have my fingers crossed! You might want to try something similar to see if it fixes the problem.
Unfortunately, it looks like the supposed 'fix' that I mentioned in my last post doesn't stick, so I've had to repeat it every time that I want to refresh my feeds. In better news, the developer has reported that he is aware of the problem and that an update has already been submitted to Apple. So, for those who can, either avoid updating until the next release hits the App Store or rollback to the previous version.

By Kelly Sapergia on Monday, June 24, 2013 - 05:13

The version I got last night seems to work OK, though I did have to remove one of my feeds. For whatever reason, when it cached the articles, I kept seeing 404 errors instead of the article text. I suspect this has something to do with the feed, as another one I have worked fine.

For those that were suffering issues with the 1.9.22 that wouldn't show you all of your NEW feeds. You will want to update and obtain the latest version. This now corrects the problem.

By Kerry Fielding on Monday, June 24, 2013 - 05:13

Hi folks. Loving Lire but I wish to be able to use it to comment on blogs. Firstly, for anyone else who wishes to do this, you have to open the article in the web browser and then you should be able to post comments as you wish. However, I've just tried to post one, managed to input my name, email address and website but can't access the comment field at all. I double tap and nothing happens. This is my first attempt at blog commenting so I will go off and find another blog to see if it's this particular blog that's causing me the problems. I will report back ASAP. I just wondered if anyone else commented and whether they had had any trouble?

Kerry, It's possible that the cause of this problem is a bug in iOS 6, as there's a rather long standing one which can make it difficult (or even impossible) to move between edit fields on some websites. Sadly, this very website is somewhere you will encounter this problem, which is why we've got just about everything possible crossed in the hope that it gets fixed in iOS 7!

Has anyone heard if there are plans for a mac desktop version of LIRE? I had been using Newsrack which is now dead, and Lire on the iPhone. With the demise of Newsrack I am looking for something that might be able to sync up with Lire. I had planned to make do with Lire and Newsrack not synching up, but now that I have to get a new desktop RSS reader, it would be nice to get something that syncs up with Lire. So I guess my question is also for the developer, do you have any plans to sync up either with a Lire mac desktop version or something like Feed Wrangler or Feeddler. Thanks

While I do appreciate the developer's commitment to voiceover. This app has become unusable and I am not sure if it is because I have to many feeds. I always have about 4000 articles and it takes forever to get to my folders, and a lot of the time voiceover goes out than makes that sound when it jumps around the screen as if it is losing focus. I have my cache turned off, and tried turning off article loading, and still the app is painfully slow. I will have to put the Iphone down and wait a minute to get from one screen to the next. Is this happening to anyone else? Would love to hear if there is anyway to fix this, as I do really like the app, but Newsify seems to work ten times faster. Of course Newsify doesn't have all the features I like like swipe to delete.

By Jen on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 - 05:13

I've only had this app for a couple of days, so I just have about 47 feeds and 1200 articles so far. But I haven't experienced any problems, or any slow article delivery here. I . LOVE . THIS APP! I pushed an entire folder off of my home screen, just so Lire could be on the first page. Huge thank-you to the developer for all the accessibility he's built into the app. For the first time, I feel like I can read all the news and information I want in a timely manner, and the sharing options are great!

What's New in Version 1.9.28 - Added ability to cache images within articles automatically (or manually) for offline consumption. PS: Automatic image caching is enabled by default, please visit Setting > Caching Options to disable it. Note for VoiceOver users: Disabling image downloading from accessibility options will not disable automatic image caching, you will need to disable automatic image caching from caching options if you do not want lire to download images.

What's New in Version 1.9.29

- The 'Delete Old Articles' section in settings has been renamed to 'Cache Limit', and moved into caching options. It now allows you to set precisely how many articles will stay in cache based on number of articles, instead of, number of days. Setting this limit high will affect performance.
- 'Caching options' section in settings now also has the ability to let delete items from cache, and view how much space the entire cache is occupying on your device.
- Minor UI tweaks, and, bug fixes.

What's New in Version 1.9.32

- Improved refresh performance and speed. (Speaking of which, since lire could now be refreshing more than one feed simultaneously, displaying the names of the feeds being refreshed will be impractical, so, we're going back to displaying the number of feeds being refreshed)
- Minor improvement to image caching performance and speed.
- New option in Settings > Caching Options > Limits section, which allows users to set how many days they like to keep read articles saved in cache.
- New section in settings called 'Refresh Options', all existing refresh related settings have been moved in to this sections, including Refresh On Launch, Refresh on Foreground and Automatic Background Refresh. And, a new option called 'Retry Failed Refreshes' has been added. For more details about this new setting, and a caveat, go to Setting > Refresh Options.
- New section in settings called 'Article Options', all existing article related settings have been moved in to this sections, including Fullscreen Mode, Draggable Scrollbar, Save Scroll Positions, Full-text View, List Limits, and Sorting Order.
- The options to search Google and Wikipedia have been moved from the main menu to the 'In-app Browser' section, tap the In-app Browser in the main menu, and there will be a search button in the top right in the view that shows up.
- Minor VoiceOver specific tweaks to the view that displays list of all feeds. (If you're one of the few VoiceOver users who were experiencing issues accessing newly added feeds from there, please try again after installing this update, and let me know if you still run into the same issue)
- Other minor bug fixes, UI tweaks and improvements.

Hi All. This app has just received a major update. Warning: When you update, it will erase all of your articles and RSS feed subscriptions. So make sure to export and email yourself your OPML file so you can import it in to the new version. If you update before doing this you'll lose everything. The OPML file import will not re-create your folders, so you'll have to create them again from scratch. The new version itself looks fine. From a VoiceOver point of view, it seems largely the same as before. A few things have been moved around, such as the Add New Feed button, which is now found in the Subscriptions section. (The All Feeds section is now called Subscriptions.) From a low vision point of view, well, the app has been iOS7-ified. So some might find it harder to read than the old version. It also has the new iOS7 keyboard etc. too. On the plus side it now can take advantage of iOS7's background app refresh features. Another positive is that it is now a universal app, so it's the same purchase / download for iPhone and iPad. I think you can sync your devices now using Feedly if you wish. Here's the full release notes: What's New in Version 2.0 - Completely redesigned from the ground up. - Fully localized in French and Italian. - Now a universal app for iPhone and iPad. - iOS 7 Friendly (includes background refresh and other iOS 7 specific features). - Ability to sync with Feedly. And, a whole slew of other new features.. IMPORTANT: Please makes sure to backup your existing subscriptions to an OMPL file. This update will not migrate your existing subscriptions from previous versions.

I've just installed version 2.0 on my iPhone 5S, and it crashes upon opening. Judging by some early comments I'm seeing on Twitter, I'm not alone in having this issue. So, if you rely on Lire, hold onto the older version for now.

Hi Michael. It's working fine on my iPhone 5S, but I have just discovered that it is crashing on my iPad Air. So yes, I think the advice for now at least, is don't update. This is why I switched off automatic app updates in iOS7 :)

This app was crashing on my iPad. However, I deleted it and downloaded it again, and now it is working great. So if you have updated and are having this problem, give that a try.

Just recieved words from the developer of Lire. At this time he is aware of the problem. People running Lire on the iOS 7.1 are more of the ones experiencing the problems of crashing. There are reports that those on the older versions of the iOS 7 are having better results. This is a known bug and he has isolated the issue. The update to fix this problem is now on the way and is being expedited wit Apple. He also wanted to let people know that he would not recommend for any users to update until the update comes out. He apologize for the inconvenience. So I wanted to thank the developer behind Lire for such a quick response and fix. So hang in there and we should see an update very soon. HTH

The update downloaded fine, but Lire now crashes on opening. I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice and Lire is still crashing immediately on opening. This is happening on my iPad Mini running 7.1. I'm not game to try the update on my iPhone 5.

So sorry about the inconvenience, this appears to be a general issue, I have identified the cause of the crash and have submitted an update to Apple for review. I have also requested an expedited review, hopefully Apple will kind enough to grant one. Again, I'm really sorry for the inconvenience.

Version 2.0.1, which fixes the crash on iOS 7.1 devices, is now available. One small note: if the app freezes after you sign into Feedly, quit the app in the app switcher and reopen it. The developer is aware of this issue.

Lire version 2.0.4 is now available. Unfortunately, the VoiceOver bug when trying to sign in to a Feedly account is still present. After entering your Feedly account information, close the app in the App Switcher and reopen it--and you should be set to go.

"What's New in Version 2.0.4 -

New Feature: The high contrast modes for both the themes can now also be toggled from within the article view.
- Fixed a bug which would cause the 'No WiFi' message to be displayed even when WiFi was available (Only affected some users who were using the 'WiFi Only
Automatic Downloads' option).
- Fixed a bug that caused some starred articles to not be fetched when syncing with Feedly (requires a re-login).
- Fixed a bug the caused a freeze when logging in to Feedly.
- Other minor bug fixes."

Must admit this one surprised me. They have removed the Fleksy keyboard option out of the app.

What's New in Version 2.0.10

- New feature: Added the ability change the size of the rows, and font, in a list of articles. Go to Settings > Article Options > Change Appearance, in the
Article List Options section to adjust them.
- New feature: On iPad, enable 'Open at Full-width' in Settings > Article Options, in the Article View Options section in to get wider rows in article
lists.
- Removed Fleksy keyboard entirely (some people actually thought it was an advertisement, not a feature).
- Bug fixes.

What's New in Version 2.0.14

- Tweaks to support iOS 8.
- Added Greek, and Czech Localization.
- Feedly directory search should now provide much better results, including localized results.
- Swipe To Left Actions, and Swipe To Right Action in the article viewer are now also available on the iPad. Visit Settings > Article Options to set them
up.
- Removed animation when switching between articles with swipes (it should now feel much faster).
- Fixed a bug that caused long URL in the article to not be broken into multiple lines causing the article viewer to require horizontal scrolling on the
iPhone, and as a consequence interfering with left and right swipe gesture actions.
- Removed the ability to manually delete articles, as hinted in the release notes of the last update. As a replacement for manual deletion, the ability
to automatically delete read articles on next sync/refresh was also added in the last update. Visit Settings > Caching Options > Keep Read Articles, and
set it to 'Till next sync/refresh' to enable it.
- Other minor bug-fixes and UI tweaks.
- Added support for sharing to Buffer (requires the official Buffer app installed).

Hi
I'm not sure if this is actually a lire issue, but I couldn't think of another app to test it with. When entering something in the search field for feeds with braille input the search button will still be dimmed. Despite the fact that the input is shown in the text field. Easy solution: just type a lette with the "normal" on screen keyboard and delete it afterwards. Since the first typed letter is by Voiceover said to be upper case I guess somehow the braille input isn't really registered directly. *shrug*. Anyway, after typing that one letter things work just fine. But I wanted to mention it anyway.
