iphone5 face recognition

Hi, I don't know if its a problem or not,but on my ipad mini, when I have my camra open,and it detects a face, it lets me know by things like small face,big face,0 faces etc. but on my iphone5, it doesn't seem to be doing the same. I suppose Iphone5 was supposed to have that recognition stuff too? So,what if anything am I doing wrong? and is there anything that I can do to fix it? if it even works on the iphone5 that is. but I do think that it does,as I seem to have read it somewhere on this site itself... any help would be awesome.
