How do I stop my Mac from going to sleep after a few minutes of inactivity?

Hi all, I have recently bought an M1 MacBook Air and I'm trying to figure out how to stop it from going to sleep by itself after a few minutes as it is annoying when watching Netflix or Youtube. I am running the latest version of Big Sur. Any help would be appreciated.

In system preferences, go to energy saver. go to the battery option in the table, and then find the prevent computer from sleeping when the display is dimmed checkbox. Uncheck it. Hope that helps!

First, there is no longer an Energy saver" preference pane, instead, we just have "battery". Second, even after changing various settings under the "battery" preferences, Mac still locks the screen after a few minutes of inactivity. This makes it difficult to edit audio or watch anything without touching a keyboard, etc.

I would welcome any ideas as well.

My Mac Mini M1 shows the Energy Saver option. But also check on Display and Screen Savers because there is a different setting that can be affecting you. Check under Screen Savers.
