I thought I'd get a few more answers from the community, but perhaps I posted this topic originally in the wrong forum. So, I'm posing the question again, which case do you recommend for the iphone 12 pro max, keeping in mind, that quality of sound and clarity is at the top of my list. I'm ultimately looking for something waterproof, like the Lifeproof Fre series, but reviews online from other longtime Lifeproof users have scared me off buying such a pricy case. But then, Otterbox looks like a great alternative, but you have to shill for the screen protector and the case, ... seems like a lot of unnecessary steps. The Temdan case looks very promising, but I think it may come from Germany or something, so it's available on Amazon, but not without shipping and import deposit fees. Also, the timeline on that case is not reasonable. It does look promising, but just too much work. I am Canadian, so any sites or recommendations should be made with that in mind. We don't always have the same access to products as those in other countries. Anyway, thanks in advance for any advice.

I never really bothered with trying to find water proof cases for my devices now since they are resistant to water anyway. Obviously, I don't go testing that to see if it actually works. in terms of drop protection, I have a Spigen Tough armer for my galaxy s20 Fe, and I look to get one for my iPhone XR at some point. If you want something thinner their rugged armer is pretty good as well. but note, those aren't waterproof. I do like the tough armer because the bezel keeps the screen off of a table, so I don't have to have a separate screen protector on top of it. the tough armor was about $21 CAD for me, but I think the rugged armer is slightly cheaper. I bought mine off of amazon.ca.

Not sure if this helps, but I love my case. My phone is the new version of Apple's cheaper line. Can't remember the name of it to save my life right now. But, I got a case from a flea market. It is an immitation otter box. Works well. You can find cases on Amazon that are really durable for about $20. My husband has one for his phone and loves it. There are different manufacturers of these, but they are all similar.
