Issue with Bluetooth/Airplay on Mac Music app

On Mac's music app, whenever I play music via a Bluetooth speaker, I lose the ability to read the main Music window. Voice over only tracks the three leftmost buttons: (close, minimize full screen). I've tried... disconnecting all external drives, removing all Bluetooth Plist files... creating a new music library... running first-aid on startup disc... And still, the same result. I'm on a Mac Mini, Intell 2018 configuration, 32 gigs of memory with a 2-tb solid state drive. Any ideas would be welcome! Thanks!

I have exactly the same problem. When I connect a bluetooth or airplay device while in the music app, the VO cursor gets stuck in the 3 window control buttons(close, minimize, full screen). The keyboard cursor moves around the music window but the VO cursor does not track it. I tried routing the VO cursor to the keyboard cursor (VO shift F4) but this doesn't work. The only thing that seems to work for me is to select the bluetooth or airplay device before opening the Music app. I use the volume button in the Menu extras bar to do this, but you can use control centre also. When I then open Music, it seems to work OK.
I may call Apple accessibility and have them look at my Mac while this is happening.
I am using a MacBook Air M1 running Big Sir 11.3.1
