AppleVis Appreciation Day

Sometimes, things just happen out of the blue, and it makes you think about the things in life you really appreciate. And it dawned on me. AppleVis is an amazing resource, and we're lucky to have it.

I know. I sound all mushy and touchy-feely. Those of you familiar with my unpredictable off-the-rails rants are scratching your heads right now, wondering what happened to my usual punk rock, working class, acerbic edginess.

Forget about that. Instead, consider how incredible it is that, at our fingertips, we have access to a global community of people using the same products and confronting the same issues. Yeah, we get snippy with each other from time to time, we're human. More often we are there to help each other and share what we know. As a result, every one of us is enabled to use this awesome technology. Every one of us leads a better life.

So, thank you AppleVis. To the editors, yes, but also to every single member who makes this forum the outstanding resource that it is.

Through absolutely no power vested in me whatsoever except the double-shot americano I just consumed, I do hereby declare this to be: AppleVis Appreciation Day.

🍻 to that 🥲

I totally agree with the sediment that it's all about the community. There's not a day that passes when I don't learn something new from somebody on here. Long may it last 🥰

I was just thinking the other day that AppleVis is great, and I really admire those who take the time to volunteer, and especially those running the site, which seems like a ton of work. You really are doing something important for the VI community here. So yes, three cheers, and long may it live.

I love this site. It helped me I got in touch with Gregg Boss who used a Rivo keyboard he was a huge help with getting me running with the Rivo. David woodbridge did a nice demo of it as well. This site is wonder. Android has nothing like it and probably never will.

Absolutely, kudos to the entire team of applevis and all members. True and sincere appreciation for all. Like they say, " nothing about us without us".

dear applevis editors
thank you.
I got my first IPhone in 2019 and I couldn't be more greatful for this website. it helped me get use to voiceover and I know I always have applevis to turn to in case anything happens or I'm unable to figure out anything. you actually do an amazing job maintaining and running this website bringing us new content. specially those detailed posts on latest software updates or any content summerising any apple event.
we're honestly really lucky to have this resource at our fingertips. and I agree there's nothing like this on android and will never be!
we're also lucky to have such a dedicated team working towards this website bringing us new content, improving it and just making it what it is today.
love everyone of you :)

For sure. I couldn't have gotten as far as I have without all those podcasts! Thanks for all the hard work you do behind the scenes. I check this site every day, and I recommend it to any VI person who needs help with their iPhones.

I am so thankful for you guys! When I got my first iPhone, you were right there to show me how to use it. And when a new phone or iOS version comes out, there you are again to be sure we all get the most out of it! Thank you for always being there, no question too silly, and to the others here who are so willing to help! I appreciate all the time you all spend with the podcasts (Yes Thomas, especially you! Keep up the great work and may we never take this site for granted!)

Thank you for all of the kind words and stories of how our community has helped you personally... it truly means a lot.

The generosity and commitment of our community members in sharing their time and knowledge to help others is what makes AppleVis a great place. Because of you all, together we have improved our community and people's lives.

AppleVis is the absolute best!! I got my first iPhone in 2010 and my first MacBook in 2016, and therefore I couldn't be grateful in how large this community has become. I mostly go on the site to read up on what's new with every apple product, as well as listen to the podcast demonstrating the latest products, before I even make my final purchase. One such example is the HomePod mini. from listening to the podcast, I've decided to go directly to the HomePod mini, based on how accessible it is with VoiceOver. Thank you, AppleVis!!

Yay AppleVis, & yay double shots of americano. I do check the site often just to see what's afoot. Sometimes I find answers to my questions, sometimes not, but it's nice to have a go-to place & then branch out if that doesn't work. Yall do a great job.

OMG I couldn't agree more!
you know these podcasts Thomas's,especially got me started on podcasts when I got my IPhone and now I listen to quite a few of them.. they're all too amazing!
