I've just upgraded to Big Sur and am having trouble getting the three finger double tap to zoom to work properly. Most of the time it ignores the double tap and just does the mission control swipe. When I do get it to work I seem to end up zooming in farther than I intended then can't zoom out again without using the keyboard shortcuts.
Does anyone know if the finger sensitivity was changed in this update so they have to be placed a certain way or the length of tap changed?

check settings
this sounds like a software issue and im not sure if its something you can change or if its a bug apple needs to fix. i never really got into using multi touch gestures on apple and always turned them off in the settings because they would turn on randomly and do weird things.
if you check under trackpad in settings that is where the setting would be to make it more sensitive if its not there then its something apple will have to address in an update.
Double tap speed not universal
Thanks for your reply. I have double tap slowed down and having played around some more, it seems that they've stopped that setting working with the zoom tap. It looks like I'm going to need to contact Apple.
For anyone else with this issue, I've found that triple tapping helps me get the control to work more than double tapping.
