Some thoughts on improving the accessibility of the clubhouse app for iOS voice-over users, and a question about the best way to communicate these to the founders?

I’ve only recently joined clubhouse, and I think it’s safe to say that I’m in love, I absolutely love the interface the whole invite system is in my view inspired, and the conversations i’ve been a part of have been really interesting and exciting.
The app is completely usable with voice-over which is another bonus.
I just thought of a few little tweaks that could be made to improve the experience for voice-over users in general, and just wanted your thoughts.
firstly, it can be quite labourious to swipe through the list of speakers to see who is unmuted and who is muted, I thought of a solution though, maybe for speakers who are muted, clubhouse could play a little tone before it mentions their name so you know already instead of having to wait right until the end to find out.
another thing I thought of was that if they could make more use of headings navigation, there are many different categories of things in the app and if you could swipe through those categories using headings, that would be I think quite useful alongside the usual swipe left and right gestures, I also like it if they could make it accessible in landscape mode as well but I don’t suppose that will happen any time soon.
The final element I thought of was that at the moment, if you invite a friend to room it doesn’t always tell you or give any indication whether the invite has gone through or not, in most cases it has but there is no voice-over feedback for this.

Ther is actually for number 3, if you see that it is selected when you click "add friend" and select, you can see that the person is selected. I've communicated all of this now for a few weeks to the team via the not so easy to find form they have. They might discuss that in their town hall. Good luck.

All great suggestions. A quick way to send feedback to Clubhouse is using the email support@joinclubhouse.com which I find simpler than using the deeply buried feedback form (which itself is not fully accessible).

There is an active community of users of assistive technology that is advocating for improved clubhouse accessibility. It is a club on Clubhouse called "The 15%" and you can find them at https://www.joinclubhouse.com/club/the15

I think in-app notification for the moderator like who is requesting to join speaking
instead of going to see who's raising their hand.
