Routing Voiceover audio to other sources

Hello everyone. I know if you've got an HDMI device connected you can send voiceover output to it, but is there any way to route voiceover audio to something like the device speakers while using your airpods for other things like music. Or can you use an airpod for voiceoverwhile using your devices audio for other things?

Finally, there was a way in the past to change which side of the stereo field Voiceover came from, that way you could have it come out of say the left airpod only. I looked in settings but couldn't see that anymore. Is this still possible?

I actually don't remember if I posted a similar kind of question on this forum. Also wrote to apple accessibility about it but did not get an appropriate resolution.

I wanted to get VO on my iPhone while having my music playlist blast through the speakers of my stereo system. Good when having a party but somehow I couldn't get that to happen. As soon as you connect using bluetooth to your stereo you can hear the music and VO on it's speakers which is annoying and very embarrassing to have as a host.

As of now, I have no idea on how to accomplish this where I can get the music playing out of the speakers of the stereo system and have VO on my phone

This is possible, but you can only do it with certain devices. A lot of people like the Bose Soundlink Mini 2 for allowing this. What criteria the device has to meet in order to do audio routing is beyond me. I wish every speaker could do it, but there are at least a few.
