I often watch youtube or listen to a book with music in the background. I started researching and apparently there is no way to get 2 audio apps to play at the same time on an iPhone. This leads to me having to pack around and keep 2 phones charged. Not much to do about that I guess, but the other problem this creates is that I have to use 2 sets of airpods, 1 set for each phone and also adding 2 more devices to charge. I don’t like earbuds in both ears at the same time even with transparency because I find it nice but not quite transparent enough. So now my question, is there a device that I can hook 2 phones to and then have that device send everything to 1 set of airpods? Would prefer small, portable, wireless, and battery powered. If not though, I would take the cables and ac adaptor over no solution. Also it would be nice to be able to hook in a third device, my computer because I am doing online classes. Again though, I would be more then happy with just 2 audio devices. Does anybody have any ideas? Thanks in advance.

A way that may work, an option
Hi Jessica, so here is a way that would be fully battery powered and may work for you as a solution. Please note that I have never tried this completely before, though I have used some of the hardware and can vouch for its cleanest and frequency response.
In theory what she would do, is have two or three Bluetooth receivers, To connect your phones and computer to, battery powered, one pocket analog mixer with 8 inch connections which powers headphones, battery powered, and one Bluetooth transmitter which would get themixed audio to your earbuds. Also battery powered.
I’m gonna put some Amazon links here. The only thing that I have not tried are going to be the male to male plug‘s which would allow you to connect the Bluetooth receiver and transmitter to the mixer which would keep them very close to the mixer without having cables hanging off the sides, and the Bluetooth transmitter. I’m not sure how easy the transmitter will be to use as a blind person without any voice guidance to connect to your EarPods.
Two or three of these Bluetooth receivers to connect your phones into the mixer

The pocket portable analog mixer you will need one of these:

Bluetooth transmitter: this device should act as both a transmitter and a receiver with a push of a button. Also battery powered. I have never used it so I cannot vouch for it but it should work and does have the 8 inch jacket that you’re needing as well.

And this last part and it would be the most challenging of all, finding an 8th inch male plug to plug adapter without a cable in between. I haven’t found one yet but I am going to list a cable here that has 3 feet that should work. depending on how many sources you were going to run you may need three or four of these cables. If two sources three cables, if three sources for cables.

With the cables now, I understand this is a bit clumsy but it is portable very small and you can take it with you. Hope this helps
Looks like I could use less stuff.
If I am going to have all those aux cords hooked to the mixer, couldn’t I just hook the other ends of the cables directly to the phones and computer instead of to bluetooth receivers? also, by the way, there are receivers with plugs on them so they don’t need cables. 2 of the devices have headset ports and the other would just need a lightning to 3.5 adapter. Then just 1 bluetooth transmitter on the output. What is an 8 inch connection and an 8th inch male to male plug?
Good points
Jessica, great points here. I was giving you options for Bluetooth as thats what you had requested. Yes, if you want to run hardwire to the devices that is fine although the devices of course will have to be close together including the computer. If you know of Bluetooth receivers and transmitter‘s with plugs on them versus female connections that will of course more suit your set up. ☺️ I was doing my best just to give you an option here as there is to my understanding not a device that does what you’re looking for though I’m sure someone can prove me wrong on that. ☺️ In regards to your question about the male to male plug and 8th inch, 8 inches like a headphone plug, and was hoping for an adapter not a wire though I did not find one this morning. The best of luck to you with all this and I really hope that it works out.
No worries.
I really appreciate you taking the time to write that long and detailed post. I actually think I have one of those male to male adaptors you’re talking about. I’m pretty sure it came with a Bluetooth transmitter or receiver that I bought. I just never knew what it was. Is it basically an aux cord without the cord? That was a couple years ago and I have looked for more of them in stores and never could find any. However, I do have a couple of Female to female adaptors I got at the source. And if you are interested, I found a 1 foot aux cords by Anker that I might end up getting a few of. I can get the link if you want. Yes, I asked about bluetooth because that’s what I was aiming for. However, as I searched the Internet high and low I began to realize that was probably not going to happen so I asked about the wired to see if that same mixer could do it it seems like it may be the only way aside from having a bunch of receivers and transmitters to keep charged. I did find 1 called the braven fuse, but it’s 1, 6 years old and 2 sold out. I also can’t find anything like it. Do you know what if any differences there would be between the mixer you posted and the Rolls MX41b which I think looks basically like the one you posted, but with no battery.
Cool
I am not certain I have not use the other mixer but the one that I did put up is pretty durable and lasts :-) you’ve got it, that is with the adapter that I was searching for would be like an ox cable without the cord :-)
