I am not sure if this works for you, but it is worth giving a try. Each time I have a problem with connecting my braille display to my iPad/iPhone, I just do a reset for my network settings. Only reset your network settings not anything else. This would work for me for a while until I do a reset again.
HTH
That didn't work. The error message said "Focus 40 BT 3BCC244 is not supported." As far as I can tell, this only happens when I try to connect to the IPhone SE2.

Bluetooth ID settings
On one occasion I had problems connecting my Focus Braille display with my iPhone and I solved it in the Bluetooth ID settings on the same Focus.
Have you done any testing with your displays Bluetooth ID? The Focus 40 user guide has some instructions for how to use the device’s Bluetooth ID. I am including the following link with more information.
