so I'm really drawing a blank here. someone recommended an app I could install on windows that would let me cast my iOs device and voiceover with very little lag. I want the video to show up as well as audio and anything I'm doing, so how can I do this? I tried reflector and although it was good, it was a bit of a bare to set up, plus there was a lot of lag between the iOs device and my computer. so much in fact that what I was doing failed the only thing I remember is the word "air" in the name, but honestly, I just am not remembering anything else.

Are you looking to use your PC's monitor to make everything bigger, or is there a specific reaon you want to cast it to the PC itself? If you want to connect to the monitor only, there's an HDMI to lightning converter you can buy. But if you're wanting to interaction with your phone's content on the PC itself, I don't know of any decent way to do that. I Tried an app qhite some time ago that did it, but like your experience, it did it badly. Since you can cast to TVs though, I'd be surprised if there wasn't some way to do this though.

Exactly. I want to record some demos for iOs onto my computer and show them off usign obs or twitch. I just wish I could remember the name of the app someone said. This woudl also be useful if I'm doing screen recordings etc. I could use the built in iOs feature but capturing the mic is a no go as it goes into the ear peace.

Windows has builtin support for screen cast. I use it to cast my Android phone screen to my laptop. Some laptop models might not support this feature, but most do.
I am not sure if it works with IOS devices, but you can give it a try. For starters, search for connect app on your laptop, open it and then go to your IOS device and look for screen cast or something like that. If your Windows laptop shows up in the list, then click on it and the screen and the audio should be coming to your laptop. Your phone and laptop must be on same wify network during this.

You could try Zoom. With Zoom you would be able to share your screen and use IOS to mirror your screen. Zoom for free allows you to have a meeting with yourself and record.

No sorry I don't have that. I have "remote apps and desktops?" but that's it. My laptop is from 2017, which is not old but I guess it can't do it, or my windows version cannot do this.

No that won't work. I cannot cast iOs apps to my zoom on the pc. I didn't see that option actually.

On zoom you have to share then press right when you here system sound one option in there is Iphone. Make sure to check the box for share sounds. Press enter on the iphone option and then on your ios device go to screen mirroring.
One other option is download airfoil satelite its a free app that allows you to just airplay to Windows.

" AOk, actually it is in basic. I'll have to give this a try. I doubt the audio will be in stereo though. I kind of want it that way, but this is zoom we are talking about.

and airfoil does not do video, or at least it didn't the last time I checked.

update number two.

it worked but the lag was horendus. I wish there was hardware way to capture audio and video and this includes voiceover.

Yeah I agree you can do this on the Mac, but Windows unfortunately doesn't have this option.

Hi there!
Many years ago I used a program called Lonely Screen or something like that to be able to cast the screen and audio of my iPhone to my PC

It was enabled, but the lag was so bad I could not do the demo. I ended up do9ing voiceovers and recording from my screen instead. Here is the result. Sorry. you will have to find part 1 on that channel. lol! I don't like the way I did the voiceovers there, but it worked better than any casting device.
