Hello,
as I mentioned in another topic, I recently got a new MacBook air M1. When booting it, I have the problem more often that VoiceOver just doesn't accept any commands anymore. So I do not get into the login window at all. If I turn VoiceOver off and on again, I can log in to my account normally. Does anyone else have this problem?

Possibly something similar
I've had what sounds like similar issues since Big Sur.
For me, I would typically find on the start screen that VoiceOver wouldn't find anything other than what it said was an installer progress UI element. No amount of tabbing or arrowing would locate anything else. So, I always had to use the window switcher to get to the actual login screen.
I subsequently discovered that if I disabled FileVault then I would always be taken to the login screen when starting my Mac.
This may be completely different to your own experience, but you could at least see if the window switcher will also take you somewhere more accessible.
Thank you. When it appears…
Thank you. When it appears again, I'll try the window switcher. Otherwise, turning VoiceOver off and on again will take me back to the login screen.
