Hi.
So I use Seeing AI photo recognition all the time and since yesterday I havent been able to.
So I usually go to my photos tap share and the option to recognize with seeing AI is there.
Well now it's nowhere to be seen.
I tried deleting and reinstalling the app.
Can somebody help me figure what is going on?
Thanks.

I haven't used Seeing AI for well over a year, but if it's anything like other apps, you'll need to ensure the feature to recognize with it is in your share sheet. That means going past all your other options to "see all" or "more" and ensure Recognize with Seeing AI is there, but also selected. Then it should show up in your list of sharing options.

Hi.

Have you tried going into Seeing AI. and finding the recognize phots option? It's in the menu. That's how I do it. I also have a siri shortcut for this, and I also have the shortcut on my home screen and I have a gesture assigned to it as well.
Hope this helps.

I never thought of using a gesture in conjunction with an OCR app like this, That's actually a really useful idea.

As long as the app you want to use this with supports Siri shortcuts you can do this. Seeing AI does support Siri shortcuts. To get to this, you have to go into settings, accessibility, voiceover, commands, all commands, shortcuts. The gesture that I have set up for a shortcut, I have it set up to browse my photos. So when I do that gesture that I have set up, seeing AI automatically opens to the browse photos section. The only thing I have to do from there, it’s fine the photo I want to analyze, double tap on it, and seeing AI does the rest for me. And then if I want to share it or get rid of it that’s the only other step I have to take. And you can do this with any other app you want to, whether it be a podcasting app, or any other kind of app. As long as it supports Siri shortcuts you’re good to go. I got this idea from another user on here. And I’ve been thinking about other apps that I might want to use this with.

I am trying this but can't do it. There should be a way to automate the whole process instead of us giving gestures and commands for us to be able to read images. Something like on what app. when you get an image that is forwarded and when you tap to open the image automatically it starts to process the image in seeing AI and gives the text result. This would be really nice to be able to automate. Any ideas on how to do this? The technical thought process is if *jpeg; *gif, *.img any file that has an image extention should trigger recognise with Seeing AI automatically

Hello! I’ve been using the Seeing AI app for over a year now and this is what I do. The first thing the voiceover says when opening the app is menu, so I click on the menu button. Then, there’s a button that says: browse photos. I click on it and it leads me directly to my camera roll, and it shows me all the photos I have saved from most recent to oldest. I click on the photo and the app starts exploring it immediately. Let me know if this helps

that share sheet thing seems to be a known bug in the last few version of iOS. The first thing I'd suggest is a restart of the device, then maybe make sure it's not in the More section of the share sheet anyway. If you get really desperate try a reinstall of the app.

the gesture thing is a good idea, the only things to remember are that first, there actually aren't a heck of a lot of spare gestures in iOS, so don't go nuts with this, ☺️ or if you want to go nuts, link to a menu Shortcut that has a few apps as options. also, of course, this won't work if you want to directly share something with Seeing AI, like from Twitter or a web page or something. You'd have to save to the photo album first, then launch Seeing AI and possibly delete the photo.
