Is there a way to adjust voice-over volume independently of media volume

Just wondered if anyone knows of a way to adjust the voice-over volume relative to media volume, as I often find that media is a lot lower than voice-over in most contexts.
I have audio docking enabled, but even there, it does cause a bit of an issue if I want to use voice-over and listen to something at the same time because voice-over so it louder than what’s been played?

The volume option found in the rotor is to adjust the VoiceOver volume only. So turning the rotor to Volume then swiping up or down with one finger will adjust the VoiceOver volume.

If you want the media volume to be louder when Voiceover is speaking, then turn off audio ducking. The function of audio ducking is to lower the media volume when Voiceover is speaking.

The only issue is that the media volume will always be louder than Voiceover which is a shame. I've thought this is the biggest issue with IOS compared to other screenreadrs. In every other OS I can set my screenreader to be the loudest over media but can't achieve that constantly on IOS. Audioducking is more annoying to me as it is constantly lkowering and raising.

That's exactly what it does. If the voice over speaks, media lowers. I personally dispise it and turn it off every phone i get. In a similar manner, the sounds for the phone ringing and sounds for texts and the like are much lower then if you even turn off speech. Try it. go to a contact you have a particular sound, or just sounds in general and start playing around. You won't believe how much louder they are. I really wish apple would fix it,a nd maybe give us a few new sounds. I'ms ick of everyone and his mother having the same phone rings. Trun off voice over and the sound is louder still.
