Editing spreadsheets on iPhone

Hi,

I am having problems editing spreadsheets on my iPhone running the latest iOS. I have an excel spreadsheet which I have tried editing in both XL and Google sheets. In XL voice-over doesn’t read any of the contents of the sheet, it implies the sheet is totally empty which I know it isn’t. In Google sheets, it read the contents of the sheets but I don’t seem to be able to edit it. If I double tap on a cell it says it’s selected and if I double tap again a menu appears. I’m not sure how to bring up the keyboard so I can edit it.

Are used to be able to use Excel on an older version of iOS. Is anyone else trying this and what are you able to do?

Double-tap the cell once, then place your finger near the bottom of the screen; you'll find an edit field titled "formula bar" which contains the text contents of the cell. The "done" button is directly above the letter p when you're finished.

Ok thank you, yes this works in sheets. So I'll stick with sheets and not Excel because in Excel VO doesn't read the contents of the cells at all. Thanks very much for your help.
