Hello.
I'm trying to figure out the basic usage of Garageband for iOS, mainly focusing on recording use cases. I was able to find how to record and render them to audio files, but still cannot successfully split / join / trim / cut a part of a recording.
Can anyone guide me through the steps or just dump some resources which describe how to do that?
Here's what I've already tried.
(1) Record something
(2) tap "track"
(3) go to the audio recorder section and find a control on which Voiceover reads bar, beats and ticks.
(4) Use rotor and move cursor to where I want to trim.
(5) Use rotor again, select actions and choose trim.
(6) nothing happens
I'm guessing I have to do some sort of region selection, but I don't know.
Sometimes Voiceover says "1 region selected" or something, but it's somewhat inconsistent.

clunky
I found garage band to be too complicated to my needs. I might get it back if I buy a midi controller on the future, but until then Hokusai serves me well. I also couldn't find a way to do anything with tracks I recorded.
Agreed
Thanks.
Looks like the Mac version allows us to do more, but the iOS version is... meh.
keyboard commands
apparently it has some keyboard commands, if you have a an external one to use with your phone. They might be helpful if you wish to stay with GB.
