Dear all. It has been brought to my attention from a friend of mine, Gary Price, that if you have problems activating items using VoiceOver on your iOS device, there is the possibility that a feature, Assisted Touch, may be turned on, either by accident or by default. Problems may include, but not limited to, inability to delete certain messages in the messages app, inability to clear text when re-labelling alarms in the Clock app, problems activating the Music app, problems activating the updates tab in the App Store app, frequent focus issues, etc. To rectify the situation, ensure that Assisted Touch is turned off. Go to Settings, then General, then Accessibility, then Assisted Touch. For most of you this shouldn't pose a problem as Assisted Touch should be turned off by default, but it is essential I bring this to your attention to save you from taking your iOS device back to the store because of a possible fault, for example. Thanks for reading.

Thank you for sharing; never experienced this kind of challenge myself and did not bother checking for the assistive Touch setting on my phone but this information would be really helpful for someone facing this kind of challenge
