Hi i have had a mac for a few months now, however im really sruggling with it as its my first one. Please can you mac users tell me what you used to help you learn how your macworks
If you've not already done so, a good place to start would be listening to some of the Mac podcasts on this site (particularly those by David Woodbridge).
Here's the list: http://www.applevis.com/podcasts/tags/mac-os-x
In addition to David Woodbridge's podcasts, go through the Getting Started Guide which you can access by pressing Control-Option-H to access the VoiceOver Help Menu. Navigate to the bottom of the menu with your arrow keys until you hear, "Getting Started Guide". Open the Getting Started Guide with Control-Option-Space.
The Guide is a little tedious but it will really help you understand the Mac OS platform as well as VoiceOver.

Hi,
The VoiceOver QuickStart accessed via the VoiceOver Help Menu is also very useful. If you have a Macbook with a multitouch trackpad, you will also learn how to navigate with this as well.
VoiceOver Keyboard help control+Option+K is also a good way to remind you of keyboard/gesture commands: e.g. like start or stop interacting with an item such as a toolbar, scroll area or HTML.
