At the outset I must stress that I am a brand-new Mac user, so there is very possibly something I am missing here.
So far, the closest thing to a "Clear All" that I've found in Notification Center is the ability to clear all notifications for a particular app. To do this, when on a group ('stack') of notifications (for example, for FaceTime or Mail), press VO-Command-Space and select 'Clear All' from the Actions Menu that appears. If clearing a single notification, the 'Close' action appears to have the same effect as 'Clear All' when clearing multiple notifications.
I am a mac user sence 2008, I had to figure that ouf myself, when you hear stacked when you are in the notification center list of notifications., For example, messages stacked is what you are looking for.
OK, that's all great and all, but, what if I have several stacked notifications from Mail, a few from Messages, a few from Dropbox, a few from Facetime, a few from Skype, a few from Night Owl, a few from my purple red and yellow polkadotted doggy, a few from my naying horsey, um, you get the point. Bottom line, my notification center has epicly blown up in my face. I get we can clear entire stacks one by one. So, I could essentially clear all notifications as described with the actions command for Messages, or all notifications for mail, etc, but is there not a way to clear everything regardless the stack, or app? Just in one shebang go, boom! all gone? In iOS, you find one of the clear all buttons for one of the apps, but instead of double tapping it, you 3D touch, double tap and hold, or tripple tap, take your pick, and then you'll get a menu with the first option being to clear all, and when it says all in this context, they don't mean for that stack. They literally in this case do mean, all, as in, all notifications. You hit that, and presto. Literally every single notification no matter where it is in your NC, it's now gone. Is there not some equivalent on the mac? Even using stack clearance like this with the actions command, that's not exactly quote unquote, quick. Call me a bit canded, but, yeah.
