Also some new features available - Just give it a try
Hi everyone,
it's really worth giving it a try. I've been using this app since 2 years and it's currently the best recognition app out there.
They also added some useful new features recently including column detection in OCR, a library to save text, importing ePUB and doc formats.
Also the Glasses is a cool product - so, good luck...
I second this
I've been singing the apps praises for a while on this forum. I absolutely don't regret the lifetime subscription. It's saved me many times.; It works great without the glasses, though I imagine they would be really cool, if for no other reason than to make capturing text easier. I'd love to win a pair, and I appreciate Envision for including those of us who already have the lifetime subscription.
Yes, the Glasses are…
Yes, the Glasses are especially cool because you've got your hands free and that's really helpful in some situation.
The main thing that sets Envision AI apart from other apps is that it's very easy to use and you can really get your things done very quickly. I've also tried Seeing AI and all those other apps, but Envision works in the most cases, even when other apps may struggle.
So, really recommend to purchase a plan, the annual is reduced now, and maybe you're the lucky ones to win the Glasses.
I used this app on android…
I used this app on android and although good, it did not really help when I was trying to configure stuff on the XBox and MK11. I did still need sighted help for that as the layout of the screen when I was scanning direct didn't help. I did use it once though to troubleshoot and find out my computer had a dead hard drive, which was due to a battery almost blowing up a few days later, don't ask.
For something that precise
You may get more mileage with Voice Dream Scanner for reading menues, only because it has the ability to retain the formatting of whatever it scans where Envision - as great as it is -- does not. Actually if there's a remote play feature on the Xbox and you can connect it toyour PC, you can use the NVDA screen reader's recognize text function to help navigate menus. At least know where things are anyway.
I could. Actually I have a…
I could. Actually I have a capture card, so all I need to do is have the projection window open in OBS.
Envision also has got column detection this year
Also Envision has now column detection of scanned text. Works great for articles (e.g. of magazines), actually also helpful when importing a PDF or ePUB with columns. Not sure if that alwo works for menus but will try.
Yes it should
WoW! that's great. I also…
