Hi all, please comment if you also are experiencing this issue, or understand what it might be in relation to.
I have an IPhone SE-2020 running iOS 14.2, running on the T-Mobile network. I have an, "In Progress", indicator in the status bar at the top of the screen, Directly to the left of the time display, and to the right of the WiFi network SSID/name and signal strength. I am not sure why this indicator is displaying. I have turned on airplain mode, it still exists. I have turned off Airplain mode, and off WiFi, cellular, and Bluetooth, it still exists. I have rebooted the device, it still exists. My girlfriend has an IPhone SE-2020 running on the Sprint network with the same results.
If anyone has any information on this indicator, I super appreciate the advice and info.
Thanks! and happy holidays.

Mine is a 2016 SE and the same weirdness is happening.
Not seeing it here
I am not currently seeing the in progress icon in my status bar, running the latest version of iOS on an iPhone SE from this year, on the T-Mobile network.
In general, the in progress icon is supposed to appear when an app is currently accessing something from the internet. For example, when loading a webpage in Safari, you may see the in progress icon while the page is loading, then the icon should disappear once the page is fully loaded. I want to say it's up to each app to communicate whether or not to show the icon, but I'm not positive of this. So, I'm guessing it's a misbehaving app that's making the icon appear when it shouldn't, or there may be an iOS bug that's keeping the icon from disappearing as expected.
