Would someone be willing to do a podcast on the Ulysses app?

iOS and iPadOS

Hi,

As of today, I'm now using the Ulysses app, for all my writing.

I absolutely love it, but am also finding it quite complicated in some respects.

As a result, I'm wondering if anyone on this wonderful site, would be willing to do a podcast on both the mac and ios versions of this amazing app.

Each part could be separate episodes, for example, one episode could cover the Mac app, while the other one covered the app on iOS. You could even do the iPad app, as a separate episode, if you really wanted to.
For those who may be unaware, they have an online user guide, which can easily be accessed, via Google search.

They even have an entire section dedicated to voiceover!

Thanks for any assistance.

Hello everyone,

I absolutely love podcasting, and I’ve been using the Ulysses app for a couple years now. While I don’t know everything there is to know, I absolutely love this app for its simplicity and VoiceOver accessibility. Please let me know what you’d like answers to in the podcast, and if the podcast isn’t accepted on the site, I can always send the original poster, and anyone else a link to the tutorial if interested.
Hugs, and be safe.

Hi, I too would very much appreciate a podcast on Ulysses. I've used it for the past three months for writing a book, and I'm sure I've only just skimmed the surface of its features. As Ulysses is ever-growing, I would love to start a Whats App group, for Ulysses users and other writers. If anyone is interested, let me know.

The app is pretty straightforward and simple to use. There are more complicated parts, but that's not an issue for itself.
As I don't like it's subscription model, it won't be my word processor of choice for iOS. I'm gonna try Scrivener next year.

Hi,
Scrivener is good, but it's very expensive, and the installer for the Windows app doesn't work with a screen-reader.
In fact, none of the Windows app works with a screen-reader.

Scrivener is available for ios, mac, and Windows; all as separate purchases.
I think each version is like 40 or $50.
So, if I were you, even though you don't like Ulysses subscription model, that may be your only choice.

You could also use voice dream writer, but that's only available on ios.

I won't be using Scrivener on windows, I've tried the trial. The iOS version is $20 and I've heard very good comments about it's features and accessibility.

Jonathan did a podcast on Ulysses earlier this year on iOS anyway! He's not a Mac user so it doesn't showcase or highlight anything there but it may be a good start. One thing Ulysses offers that I really like is the fact that you can export to word. I think Scribner allows importing but doesn't allow exporting to word which is big for me. I could be wrong though so I shouldn't say anything LOL.

Hi,

I just did a search for the podcast you referenced, found it, but when I tried to click on the link to play it, I got a 404 error.
Do you know of any other podcasts that demo this amazing app?

Basically what I'm looking for is a tutorial, regarding the ios and mac versions.
