Downcast is my preferred client on the Mac because Apple podcasts don't allow you to actually browse and see the MP3 episodes any more in the directory, they are hidden and named in some ridiculous format.
The only problem with downcast is that if you are actually updating your podcasts and downloading, if you go onto the Internet using Safari or anything else, the downloads will pause and you have to Resume the downloads usually after closing the app.
